TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

Can you elaborate further, as to what is mentioned in video? Thank you.
It's not talking about anything important. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank shows this TFX's task computer to the members of the National Assembly in order to raise more appropriations to his Ministry in the budget negotiations. Since it is the end of the 2022 year, the 2023 year's budget law is currently being discussed in the National Assembly. According to Minister Varank, this computer was produced and delivered to TAI before deadline.

We've been working on TFX's software for almost 25 years using our F16's Özgür Project as a test bed, which is actually the hardest job in TFX Project. There is no problem in that part. I had heard that the researches for the RAM coating to be applied to the TFX yielded results and that the product had the desired properties and was almost ready for mass production. I should mention that there is cooperation with Ukraine for hydraulics and APU and there is no problem in those parts. Also, no problems are expected in the sensors part, the first examples of them are also ready. Only the engine part of the aircraft can be mentioned as a potential bottleneck.

Oh I forgot to mention, at least 2 loyal wingman drones are planned to accompany him while TFX is flying. One of them is Baykar's Kızılelma drone. In addition, Bait&EW Drones to be fired from TFX have also entered the production line. I did not see the need to mention the ammunition, they are already almost ready.

In short, TFX is being prepared for the TURAF with all its equipment.

SARSILMAZ's acquisition of AEI Systems was actually directly related to this. ASELSAN's subsidiary is the second candidate, but I hope SARSILMAZ (SYS) gets this job. SARSILMAZ seems to be focusing on medium caliber weapon systems in the coming period, and in this sense, becoming a MMU supplier could have a major multiplier effect for their global goals.

Can we get a source on this?

Source TAI GM Temel Kotil. Due to the positive progress in the project, the maiden flight date was revised to October 29, 2024.

Also, as dear @Celestyal said, the delivery of the landing gear to TAI has been completed. In the first months of 2023, we will see prototype 1 finished and there will be a roll out ceremony in March.

"Announcing that the first flight of the National Combat Aircraft will take place on October 29, 2024, Kotil said, "We will delivery in 2028. After 2028, we will produce two National Combat Aircraft per month, making 24 per year. If there is a need, this can increase exponentially. The landing gear of the National Combat Aircraft has arrived, as of the 20th of this month, the landing gear will be on and the engines will be installed."

The first prototype of the National Combat Aircraft, the biggest project of the Turkish defense industry, was recently taken to the final assembly line. The aircraft will leave the hangar in March 2023."

According to the plan, around 200 MMUs will be produced by 2036. The mass production line, which is designed for 2 aircraft per month, will be increased if a foreign country is involved in the program.

-The fuselage is made of composite materials and te frame is made of titanium and aluminium, the outer body is made of one big composite material 12 meters long.

If you put composite and later RAM material together you will have the best stealthy fighter in the world. TFX is made of latest technology and it will be able to compete maybe it will better then the F22.

F22 and F35 fuselage is made of metal materials most parts.

What goes inside the aircraft is also important.

what will inside speak for itself, BUFRIS is the main sensor. BUFRIS is a radar with 2000T/R. It will have 360 degree sensor awarenes like DAS. But we call it NAR, it will be a state of the art fighter. It will need time only, just sit and watch the developments.

This is a smart move and I write about "tech reusability" on our Pakistani forums too. Seems as Burun Radar will be cross-used for commonality's sake on F-16's to Akinci's etc?

And other drones would use a SAR Radar again with commonality in mind?
