Which is correct and healthy.FOLKS! Its about stereotyping... We all know what comes to minds of almost all indians when they show picture of an building with arched gate, multiple domes and lines showing sound. Its a Mosque doing Azaan! Anyone understands it! Lets do one thing.. lets do a facebook quiz by cropping that much out and ask folks on facebook, what do they associate it with!
I am not exactly a pro muslim person, but this is ridiculous! We are trying to defend here what is clearly a Stereotyping of a specific community here. I say this is horse manure!
Its not a question of technicallity, its symbolism and a stereotyping one!
Very few temples are allowed to have loudspeakers all the year round. One reason is they are owned by the Gormint.Every year we come across petitions to ban firecrackers on Diwali because it creates Noise and Air pollution.
Had it been a temple, you would not have posted a thread here.why not a temple and why only a mosque
This is saffron to you? Those domes nowhere resemble to a temple as depicted in the picture.
Saffron coloured dome for you
I guess the problem is this - 'why target us? Target other religions at the SAME TIME'At least can we agree on one thing that Mosques create noise pollution?
Yes. Like I said. Stereotypes occur because its easy to associate.1. In all! Durga pooja -- Jaagran for 9 days --, Ganesh pooja which goes for 5-6 days, Shiv Ratri, Diwali and when ever someone wants to do a Satyanarayan Katha.
2. Its not a question of a country for muslim, it is a question of sterotyping of a particular community in India.
I would have agreed with you if the kids were shown pictorial form of loudspeakers from temples ALONG with mosques. But that is not the case here.
You may find saffron colour domes on mosques but you don't find domes on temples. Make your conclusion
Really, I guess you are ignorant on your own traditions.
Or may be you don't know the traditions in South India.
I live in Guruvayoor since 20+ years, during the special pooja's sometimes temple speakers air the chantings. As far as my Brahmin friends are concerned that's vedic stances.
Yeah, I thought you are smart. But you exposed yourself here as an MSP.
Adios!
Why should I care about your trolls. North Indians like you always live in oblivion.LOL..... how does it matter if you live in Guruvayur ? Big LOL at your "brahmin friends"..... are they called Ahmed and joseph ?
Desperate, I don't claim to read your vedas. I was just talking about loud speakers. You were the one who dragged me to this.Even the elephant Keshavan lived in Guruvayur, that did not make him a vedic scholar.
Epic failVedic chants are done only during Yagna / Havana, not in temple worship.
why the picture of the temples missing from the book? Why there is row over this picture? What exactly is the problem here?
They are not an entitled minority. At least not in the way the "rich" Ahmadiyas are.Well than that is just criminal if they are exceeding the limits as entitled minority.
Read the Preamble.Of course I am entitled to my views. Speak about making a virtue out of a necessity.
Second, India and its Constitution is NOT secular.
Third, "secular" is NOT DEFINED in the constitution.
Let me know when you can quantify and measure "spirit" of the law.
Mosque is enough as representative picture of a religious place, I don't believe we need to show exclusive pictures of every religious place in India.why the picture of the temples missing from the book?
lolzzz you mean you can replace the picture with that of a mandir in the next editionMosque is enough as representative picture of a religious place, I don't believe we need to show exclusive pictures of every religious place in India.
Same guys who say "osama is not in pakistan", "terrorism has no religion" or "Dawood is not in karachi"
Know anybody like that ?
that is not a fort.
Why should I care about your trolls. North Indians like you always live in oblivion.
It's just one phone call away, the difference between this is, in North India it's more like Bhajans and other songs for the gods. While here it's more of strict procedures. And they follow Rigveda and it's mantras. In temples they chant manthras of Rig veda.
Desperate, I don't claim to read your vedas. I was just talking about loud speakers. You were the one who dragged me to this.
Epic fail

Please, if you don't know don't argue. I don't need to be a Hindu to understand the some traditions. I've lived enough through this to trump your arguments. You know nothing about things here
Lastly, one more thing I forgot to add. Temple came first and the rituals Narayaneeyam came later.
Read the Preamble.
If all that continued, one day, people of India will consider religion as the root cause of all evil and disputes and will throw off the religion far away from their lives, just like Europe did. I think some guys are working hard on this agenda, the enemies of peaceful coexistence.
