Textbook sparks row over mosque depicted as noise pollutant

Temple does not "follow" rig veda. It however takes the teaching of rig veda and presents an alternative approach.

It however does not chant the rig veda.
No, they do chant Rigveda. And brahmins in here identify themselves as Rigvedi's.

The identification of Brahmins as "rig vedic" has nothing to do with their identity. They just belong to a school that taught them Rig veda and its practices for yagna.

There are many mantra's in the rig veda that is chanted in isolation and not as part of the entire rig vedic chant. For example the " Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra" (of shiva) is part of the rig veda, but even Buddhist chant them.

So does thousands of others hindus.

Here is a video of Buddhists chanting the Tryambakam Mantra (Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra from the Rg veda). So are you going to claim that the Buddhist follow the Rig Veda ?

On a simple note. I only said, majority of temples in Kerala, chants verses from Rig Veda. If you are north Indian, you can never understand it unless you ask a Kerala Brahmin who is a priest. If you are Keralite then ask any Poojari. :-)

. .
Abuse my belief (or lack of a belief) in the guise of call for your prayers on loud speakers, dozens of times a day and then ask others to cover their ears.

And when others question you, first hurl choicest of abuses on their religion and then claim victim-hood by saying that the whole world is coming to get you.

Ain't that typical of you guys!
HAHAHAHAHA! You are dearing like a baby. Its 5 times a day not dozens:blink: (one of the reasons I told you you dont know a thing)and since you belong to a Hindu country, why not ask your government to ban this thing instead of getting pissed off.as simple as that.

.
When will all other boards bring in similar pictography? Only the ICSE board seems to have the right idea.

Comprehension problems?

Genius, the 5 times a day is per mosque. Most of the mosques in any given area seem to coordinate their calls in such a way that their calls don't overlap with one another. So you end up hearing the 5 calls multiplied by the number of mosques on any given day, in any given area - which can be plenty.

Did you even bother to read the OP? The Islamists in India had problem even with a picture depicting a structure which looked like a mosque as one among several noise pollutants!

.
Looks like islam is having trouble dealing with the truth again.

Its a fact that 90% mosque produce unnecessary noise pollution.

https://www.pressreader.com/sri-lanka/sunday-times-sri-lanka/20170528/283240212957272

Sri lanka has been clamping down on mosques, schools, and other premises that fail to control their nose output. Control your noise output so it does not disturb the public, or face heavy penalties and prosecution.

Its common sense.

That the emission of noise by the use of amplifiers, loudspeakers or other equipment which causes annoyance to the public or the people in general who dwell or occupy property in the vicinity, be considered a public nuisance. The police should entertain complaints and take appropriate action for the abatement of such public nuisance.
That all permits issued by the police under section 80 (1) of the Police Ordinance shall cease to be effective.
That no permits will be issued for the use of loudspeakers and other instruments for the amplification of noise, during the period of 10.00pm-06.00am. Such permits may be issued for special religious functions and other special events only after ascertain the views of persons who occupy land premises in the vicinity, and any such permit shall be reported to the nearest Magistrates Court.
That during hours between 10.00pm-06.00am noise emitted from amplifying instruments should not extend the precincts of the particular premises.
Where a permit is issued, a police officer should be designated and posted to endure the conditions are kept.

See I told you hanka! its 5 times a day and you dont multiply it with other mosques because each town contains 1 or roughly two.Jeez you Hindus!

And your simple note is WRONG.

Majority of temples in kerala do not chant from the Rg Veda. I do not need to ask a poojari, I know my hinduism as good as any of them, in fact for most parts, I know more than many of them.

The problem is you pretending to know about things you know very little about.

Each town has one or 2 mosques? Perhaps you are talking about some north American town or you seriously need to get your head checked.

Even the smaller towns that I know of in India, that are not even predominantly Muslim areas, have many more than that. During your prayer time, you can hear roughly 4-5 different calls from anywhere in any small town. The numbers are of course much, much higher in bigger towns/cities.

Do something about it then if you can.if cant then stop crying like a baby.
