Tata Motors to set up second light vehicles unit in Bangladesh

Some peoples' comments are despicable- be grateful of ALL investment in your nation regardless of whether you like the country it is from.

The only Indian car that I am aware of in uk is some Suzuki city car which was universally panned for being rubbish and giwizz an electronic car. In terms of the Suzuki the seminal car show top gear concluded it was very very badly made with no frills. Now considering the pricetag I think it's fair enough that it was so basic.

What other Indian car has made it into uk?

India may well be a large car producer but that is materially different from being able to compete with the Americans, europeans, Japanese And Koreans in their market.

Suzuki is an Indian company???
Tata Xenon lifestyle pick up and Vista electric are now exported to UK

Indians should get out of their wet dreams about BD market. Simply put Your reputation and tech are not good enough compared to japanese ones. Bangladeshis goes by reputation & good will so much so that toyota single handedly rules BD's passenger vehicle market. The other Japnese car makers pick up the remaining market pieces. And also geopolitics also plays a part in marketing. Bangladeshis don't have any high regard for Indian goods specially when it comes to high tech stuffs.

Thats why your vehicle penetration is 3 in 1000???

so, when Indian cars will be flooding the world market. Talking big is an Indian national culture.

Critisizing Indians while having zilch capability in any field is Bangladeshs national culture??

Tata has developed CRDi for their own, hybrid tech, electric car tech and fuel cell technology...Isnt that enough???

The topic was about the market. Not technology development. Two different things

The Japanese do.

I hope you never work in a marketing/sales division for your sake

Sure...
There is enormus potential as vehicle penetration is 3 in 1000

Meanwhile Indian companies are concentrating in Italy,South Africa,Latin America,South east Asia and UK:rofl:

The TATA NANO and other low-end Indian cars could do great buisness in the region (SL,BD,Pakistan) if trade is opened. Revenue would go through the roof as TATA/AL/MM etc could dominate the markets not to mention all the car plants already in India of foreing brands like Ford,KIA,VW etc could supply the entire region.

So? People still buy cars. And that means earning money. Otherwise, Tata won't be here in the first place.

And besides the Ace did well here.

Your point being?

Bangladesh-made Nano by April 2013

The Nitol-Niloy Group, distributors of Tata vehicles in Bangladesh, said that it will be coming up with domestically assembled Tata Nano by April next year.

“We are now working on manufacturing of Tata Ace pick range and will look into Nano manufacturing after that. Nano will probably come by April 2013,” said Abdul Matlub Ahmed, Chairman of the Nitol-Niloy Group.

The Bangladesh conglomerate was planning to import 2,000 Nano cars this year and was looking to import more based on demand from customers. Ahmed added that before introducing Nano, it may also look for launching of Tata Indigo CS. It started assembling Tata's commercial vehicles from 1991 onwards. However, Tata Motors did not respond to Business Standard queries.

They are much larger and advanced market than Bangladesh

Haven't seen a single Nano as of yet. Seen a couple of Xenons though.

And how is being more 'advanced' relevant to successful sales?

The point being is the market. Not the technology.

The Japanese do.

Technology is what drives the market and competitiveness you illitrate woman.

Now the japs might do care about your market but how much investment they have done into your market. How much production of japnese cars is happening in BD, negligible right. Make way for Indian companies and start liking us. The Japs can never compete with us in prices and quality of Indian cars is fairly good compared to them. Japs have failed to compete with TATA and Mahindra in India how will they compete in Bd with similiar conditions and per capita income:lol:. BD is not America. Accpet the lower priced Indian cars with love, its good for you. Its your only choice. :azn:

Yeah, nice spelling with the word "illiterate".

Cheap insults aside, that is unless you have a strong brand, which Tata doesn't have for now. And that really does matter.

"Japs" eh?

Nice to see another racist Indian + misogynist.

And oh, I'm not a woman. Double fail...

And best of luck in the Bangladesh market. You'll really need with that kind of attitude. Underestimate the Japanese at your peril for they know the way of a Samurai :smokin:

Zabaniya I think it's well known on here that you are a woman, don't lie now :P
