Check out some videos on the internet, even your average Westerners can't tell the difference between Indians and Africans until they hear the accent. And of course they can't tell the difference between Chinese/Japanese either.

Indians prioritize pleasing their former colonial masters, over their fellow Asians who have suffered the same injustices that they have at the hands of the colonial powers. India is truly the one who will betray their fellow Asians first, just to get a pat on the head from the former colonial powers.

Indians always think themselves as the mighty Aryans, meanwhile they can't even successfully copy a 1960s aircraft.

Now China should do a good bidding for the whole Asia by getting rid of these fools.

According to the Press Freedom index, Hong Kong is the #2 most free in Asia, just behind Japan, while India does not even rank in the top 100. Read it again.

In Hong Kong we don't arrest people for saying bad things about Sonia Gandhi (lol) and we don't charge people like Binayak Sen with sedition for saying nice things about Maoists.

Not to mention that India has more poor people than Africa, and starves more people to death than the rest of the world combined.

Why have different sets of standards?

If you are comparing Hongkong with entire India on press freedom ..then why are you afraid of comparing rest of China with Indian on same rules.

What we can conclude is that Hong Kong was colonized, but unlike the other British colonies (Nigeria/Somalia/Uganda/Yemen/Iraq/Afganistan/Burma/Zimbabwe)... we made the most out of it and turned outselves into a first-world advanced economy. Singapore did the same, and of course both HK and Singapore have majority Chinese populations.

India on the other hand, was created by the British and colonized for 200 years... but it is still one of the most backward countries on Earth, with more poor than the continent of Africa, and more starvation too. Light years behind even other third-world countries in terms of social indicators.

Didn't you see the Economist article and charts above? We are light years ahead of India in terms of social indicators, we don't starve 5.6 million children to death every year or have the majority of our population going to the toilet on the floor.

China does lack in political freedoms, that is true. Though on an individual level you can say almost anything, go to any Chinese forum and watch people openly swearing at the highest Chinese leaders like Hu Jintao. It's only when you start a large political movement that can actually threaten the CPC that you are in danger of being clamped down on.

Anyway, Wen Jiabao already said several times that China needs political liberalization to go along with our economic liberalization. It's only a matter of time before it happens. This is the East Asian model of development, focus on industrial output first under an authoritarian government, then political liberalization later, when development is at its final stages.
