As a note: 1km means "seconds" navigation time for an aircraft which is able to reach 2500km/h full speed on air.

I think Turkiye should first activate the NATO on this issue, mobilize her army and then as response to Syria attack SAM batteries and destroy them. And then send a message if you mess with me again the result will be devastating for you. By doing that Turkiye can both save her honor and avoid the full scale war. This is my idea and we will see what will happen.

Edit: When we consider the current condition, I don`t think Syria responds the attack coming from Turkiye to her SAM batteries. Today, Bashar Al Assad tries to save his @ss and will not dare to go to the full scale war to Turkiye I mean NATO.

Before i discovered this video, i already posted my analysis about the situation whats going on. If you guys think that sevr is ended, you all are lost. Lozan is nothing else but a time out contract. Their whole strategic and politics are based on sevr and great israel and they will do everything to bring it alive you understand what i am talking about?? To dont see what akp is doing to the country you must be blind. Why should US start a war with Turkey while they already demolished the Turkish nation by economic and culture war and weaken the army by psycologic warfare and taked the most important commanders and generals in jail?? Lets go back to topic. Its confirmed that it was a recon photographic jet RF-4E. That means there is no sense that it was flying at very low altitude.

Here is a Syrian account on its route:

It shows 3 things:

1) Syrians tracked jet for a long period, it was not a surprise to them.
2) Jet was flying at high altitude, otherwise they were not able to track it.
3) Syrian pretty knew that it was a Turkish jet, since it flew well inside a Turkish territory and kept patrolling near the shore.

So what most probably happened that recon jet was patrolling Syrian shore outside territorial waters, then it steered a bit and was immediately shot down.

We will learn later today what will happen. Davutoglu will have a press conferance at 10.30 Turkish time in the morning. I doubt there will be a full scale war, that won't be very beneficial for Turkish economy but a political necessarry step to take since Assad is slaughtering his own citizens day by day. Plus Assad is supporting the PKK terror organization, plus this incident. There are three reasons for Turkey to claim war. This incident is alone an act of war.
No need to be afraid, if we want to be the regional power, and if we want to have regional influence in this geography and if we want to earn the respect of millions of people in this geography, then erasing Assad is the most favourable act Turkey can take.
