I agree with you to some extend but ...

Some Shias might say bad things about Sunni leaders but that's all . Unlike Shias , Many Sunnis directly call Shias pagan and this is where violence starts against Shias .

Based on that view , Many Sunnis see this as a duty to kill Shias based on their Tafseers from Qur'an .

I have never seen a Shia to call Sunnis pagan or non Muslim but I myself have been called a pagan , Rafidi , etc countless times by Sunnis . This is a difference between the 2 sects and this view is the reason why almost all extremist groups have risen from Sunnis not Shias which certainly forces Shias to react .

Quote or show a single video of wahabbi who is abusing Ahlul bayt or Prodigy of Ahlul bayt ? The name of so called 12 imams of Shias are prescribed on Masjid e nabvi. Next time you pay a visit to Masjid e nabvi (SAWW), see for yourself their name on doors of Masjid e Nabvi (SAWW) and compare with all the shia abusing vidoes that exist on youtube.

When you abuse Ummul Momineen, 3 caliphs of Islam, Accuse Saif Ul Allah of raping and murdering, considering only handful of sahabas, dozen or so muslims and rest of Kaafirs, what do you expect, that no hate group from within sunnis would arose ?

Hazrat Ali (RA) married Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) widow and raised his son in his own house. What does that tell you about the supposed animoysity that existed b/w these two revered personalities ?

Sectarian mindset is derived from ego. The love on the sect seems to be more than the love on Islam. If there is no Shiah, there might be a conflict between Sufis and Salafist. If all Muslim is Shia, there might be conflict between 12 Imam believer and 7 imam believer. In the old time ( Ancient Kingdom) , even minor differences between Sunni like Muktazilah group and Non Muktazilah group can create huge division among the society.

It is better to put aside the theological differences as it is not as big as in Christian world and better us to think in a perspective of justice and rational to deal with current conflict in Middle East like happening in Syria for instant. Theological differences should be approached in tolerance tone rather than emotional one

Talking about geopolitical term, in my view, If current leaders has sectarian view, it doesnt mean that the next leader will follow similar path either. It is better to contain the problem into a level of leaders than society and sect.

In the past, Iran and Hisbullah actually has won many heart in the Muslim world. Even when my country became UN security council around 2006 something, the government was forced by our people to help Iran by never voting against Iranian interest (since we are a democracy nation). Actually, if Iran leaders think strategically, they can make a good break through in Syria conflict and take back its good image once again by pressing Bashar to step down, thus it will open peace process in Syria as it is the ultimate demand from Syrian opposition group for setting a peace deal with Syrian government.

Insulting or abusing Sunni characters is forbidden in Shiism and Iran , You can check Shia leaders' fatwas .

By the way , Insulting is something and not accepting their position is something else . Shias do not accept Aisha as " Ummul Momineen " or those 3 caliphs as rightful and legitimate successors and have their reasons .

The Shia detest Abu Bakar, Omar and Osman and bad things about them. The Sunnis point is that let God decide who was wrong and the persons be punished by God.The Shia Azadari on 10 Moharram has no Islamic justification. Some Sunnis take these Shia traditions and call Shias non-Muslims. That is not accepted by Sunnis who regard Shias especially Jafaris to be Muslims.

The 2nd part of the Darood E Ibrahimi, is about Hazrat Ibrahim and his Ahl. However, Hazrat Ibrahim's father was a Mushrik, who never accepted touheed, and wording of Darood (if Ahl is taken to mean blood relatives and family only) suggests that we assume he (father of Ibrahim) was blessed by ALLAH, which أستغفر الله‎ is not the case . So does Ahl mean blood relation or it means Companions, followers?

Why would someone call him a Mujahid as you called him ? Why would someone make a shrine of the killer of the caliph ? Why would someone maintain the same shrine ? Why would someone read Fatiha for the murderer of a the caliph ?
