According to my limited understanding of helicopters, Wheels are usually placed on heavier helis to tow them into hangars and so that they can absorb some of the shock upon landing. Skids on the other hand are fixed to lighter aircraft as they are lighter and require next to no maintenance.

Guys sorry for spamming as i cant create a thread, can someone from pakistan please help me, i want to send money for the poor people in my town, i was wondering how much is it for a family to survive monthly in pak rupees, as in what are the living costs of an average family. can someone from pak please help me i want to send money amd want to plan my stuff, so in short how much in rupees is it enough for a poor family of 6-10 members toeat and survive in a month? That's a very vague description of their living conditions but since we're just throwing a number, tentatively, I'd say a family would be able to support a kitchen for 6 to 10 people within 10,000 rupees.

so the heli aren't self propelled ? like they cant drive on their own like a jet would ?

Helis like the Mi-17 can taxi on a runway like a plane but others like the Bell and Cobra hover.

Further add up that Skids require very less maintenance and offer zero technical errors. Landing gear on the other hand require continuous checking and maintenance and can be subjected to any technical error in case if the wheels fold in once it take off.
Skids offer more surface area while wheels provide better balance.
One with landing gear are easy to transport as they can taxi on run way to hanger or are easy to pull. One with skids require Landing Stands on which chopper is fixed, lifted up slightly and then moved on wheels attached to stand just like a walker for a child......... And yeah heavy choppers use landing gear always while light ones use both depending upon their nature and role.........

AH-Z1 along with the package its coming with , will be most potent Platform in PA , but the time frame is much for these beast to be operational ..
so my guess is WZ-10 will cover up the Air Roles of On going Operations , specially when we needed Attack Heli the most , there are rumors that PA is planning to launch a Offensive Against BLA and BRA in Baluchistan ..

Welcome to the forum----God bless you for having kind thoughts for the weak and the suffering and the less fortunate.

100 to a 150 dollars a month would be very helpful. But find a way that if you could support them enough to start a business for one family at a time---to get them started and then see if you can help with kids going to school or college.

What I would need to do is to find out first how many kids in the household and how many of them are going to school.

You would also need to setup conditions on how you would like to assist them and what would you want in return----give and take----it is very important----. You need to find out about illegal activity---drugs----are children in school---if not then why not----your assistance must depend upon children going to school / college.
