You are proud of 1979 where we killed 130,000 of you in just 28 days and turned 6 of your provinces into wasteland?

You think Vietnam is a strong country? You dream about your "Dai Viet"? Then prepare for another 1979 (Hanoi attack), 1984 (Laoshan skirmish) and 1988 (Johnson Reef naval skirmish) added together, but this time, we will use much more cruel weapons like napalm and agent orange.

It's so funny to see Vietnamese deformed from USA war try to challenge a big and powerful country like China :)

LOL You think Vietnamese are a meek and peaceful people? You think they are victims?

Go ask Cambodia, Laos and Thailand how peaceful Vietnam is! Please don't just apply your understanding of South Asian geopolitics to East Asian countries. It just doesn't work that way.

Vietnam is preparing to use its brand new Su-30MKV to attack PLAN in the South China Sea. This is why we are doing air defense exercises in the South China Sea with our Type 054A frigates.

We are also doing amphibious island attack exercises with Type 071 and LCAC.

@Vietnamese friends

dont worry buddy..you'll surely have these within few years.... :smitten: :smitten:

ASEAN says it will deal as one with China in sea dispute

April 2, 2012 2:22 pm
Phnom Penh - The secretary general of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) said Monday the 10-member group would deal jointly with China in trying to resolve the ongoing dispute over the South China Sea.

Surin Pitsuwan’s comments followed a statement Monday by the Philippines- an ASEAN member with its own claims to parts of the sea -in which Manila insisted on a united ASEAN approach with Beijing.

The Philippines’ Albert del Rosario told his fellow foreign ministers that a draft code of conduct governing the sea should move forward "not merely in terms of form, but more importantly in substance," and emphasized "the primacy of international law in resolving the disputes."

The code of conduct was drawn up a decade ago but has yet to be finalized.

"On the (code of conduct) it is important for ASEAN to first agree among themselves on the draft text ... before meeting with China," del Rosario said.

China lays an all-encompassing claim to the South China Sea, a vital shipping lane that is also believed to be rich in oil and mineral resources. Malaysia, Vietnam and Brunei - all ASEAN members - also claim overlapping parts of the area.//DPA

That's one 'GREAT' news ...

Defense chief calls China a bully in Spratly dispute | Inquirer Global Nation

This months military drills and war games between the Philippines and the US will include an actual boarding and retaking of the Malampaya gas platform near the disputed Spratly areas in the WPS ...
Actually, that is in disputed waters because it is within our 9 sectioned line. So this military drill is a direct infringement of China's sovereignty. China will take action against the Philippines for certain and this gas platform will be destroyed. http://www.defence.pk/forums/world-affairs/167795-battle-offshore-platforms-coming.html

ASEAN says it will deal as one with China in sea dispute
LOL that's not what it really says. ASEAN and China have already agreed to a draft code of conduct. There is nothing new here. Countries not involved in the South China Sea dispute like Cambodia and Thailand are not going to go along with any games by the Philippines or Vietnam.

LOL Philippines is even weaker than Brunei? Then you will not last long in a total war against China. Manila will be rubble within a few days.

Is that supposed to be a threat or your just 'BLUFFING' , go ahead and destroy the platform and let's see who will suffer the consequences... By the way, there are more than '1 MILLION' Chinese living here so they will probably all perish too if your country choose to release one of those pointed ICBM's towards Manila ...

While ASEAN countries are trying to resolve disputes in the East Sea (also called West Philipinese Sea or South china sea), China has sought to prevent it. China wants to keep ambiguous condition of its claims in the East Sea, waiting for an opportunity to swallow whole the East Sea.
China is trying to bribe Cambodia, china wants to turn Cambodian become their puppet again (like the Khmer Rouge). China has bribed money for Cambodian goverment in exchange for the support of Cambodia in delaying resolve disputes in the East Sea....

US and its allies seek to stop Chinese expansion

Australia and the Philippines are among those involved, MICHAEL RICHARDSON writes
The pieces of a new strategic kaleidoscope in the Asia-Pacific region are starting to fall into place as allies and security partners of the United States seek to deter China from using or threatening force to achieve its expansive aims, particularly in the South China Sea which forms the maritime heart of south-east Asia.
A contingent of about 200 US marines will soon arrive in Darwin. They are the forerunners of a bigger force up to 2500 marines agreed in November. Singapore has offered basing facilities to several high-speed Littoral Combat Ships being brought into service with the US Navy, while US ally the Philippines is negotiating with Washington to hold more military training exercises with the US in the Philippines and increase US Navy access to Philippine ports.
Vietnam is in the midst of a major military build-up to protect its interests in the South China Sea, following similar moves by Malaysia.
