Muslims in 1947 had nothing to do with the persecution of Sikhs by Muslims, even you Indians like to say Punjabi Muslims never ruled over Punjab so why you attributed those happening to Punjabi Muslims in 1947? I know why sikhs didn't trust Muslims but their mistrust was misplaced.

Had Punjab not been partitioned history would have been a whole lot different, no Kashmir wars as Kashmir would have gone straight to Pakistan and no Hindu-Muslim animosity. I thinks things would have played out a whole lot differently and Pakistan Indian relations would have been really good which would have checked extremist voices.

That is true we did get less than we wanted. Yeah we know how the Brits favored India over Pakistan, Nehru was busy having three ways with Mountbatten and his wife, had we known at the time perhaps things would have played out differently.

and Bengal too would get partitioned OR else India would NOT have allowed Partition

So we outmanuvered you by first agreeing for Partition
but making the partition of Punjab and Bengal as the necessary first step

Thereafter it was as a SCRAMBLE for land
Gurdaspur ; Hyderabad ; Kashmir ; Junagadh

We have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRET that India and Pakistan have
not had a peaceful coexistence
