How about full Western economic sanctions to destroy the Jewish economy, in order to to force them to do anything you want?

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Sure, but that's your will, not ours. We derive no benefit from doing so.

I am telling you the Jews can be controlled and how to do it.

Really dont care whether you do it or not. Making the point that the Jews in the ME are at the mercy of the West and
have no independence at all in reality.

By 'ours' I'm sure you mean your specific extremist branch of the Indian community. Most people in the West find their support to Israel appalling. It's only the right leaning conservative's who alienate all minorities who think otherwise. And your lot has no future in the US.

As the above user noted, Israel is entirely independent upon Western military aid/sales/political cooperation. Even heavily in the economic sector. If the West began sanctioning Israel it would bring us closer to a two state solution.

Yes or No and why?

One of the more interesting aspects of American foreign policy is U.S support for Israel. Israel has enjoyed a remarkably smooth relationship with the United States over the last four decades, and has been the recipient of massive amounts of American foreign and military aid. It has been observed that the intensity of interaction between the two countries at both the governmental and societal levels, the breadth and intimacy of their cooperation, and American support to Israel in its multiple forms, are manifestations of solid and perhaps unbreakable ties (Koplow, 2011).Yet wile Israel served as a client state during the Cold War, some predicted that the US-Israel relationship would decline with the advent of a unipolar hegemonic order as the strategic dimension of the relationship diminished. Much like predictions about the demise of the Cold War institutions such as NATO, however, is one proved to be inaccurate.

Not only has the relationship between the U.S and Israel been maintained, it has arguably been strengthened since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and until recently seemed to reset on more solid foundations than ever. The combination of Israel’s Operation Cast Lead in Gaza in 2008 and the elections of Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu , however, has ushered in a new era of uncertainty, with policy makers and influential media voices beginning to question whether unwavering American support for Israel should be reconsidered, and conjecture over how much longer the American public will support Israel in such high numbers. This leads to the question of why the United States supports Israel so strongly and whether the relationship between the two states is genuinely in danger (Koplow, 2011).

Recent data polling as well as a histographic analysis of public opinion points the following – it is evident that the general public identifies with Israel as a Western Style democracy , and does not see Israel in the coldly realist terms that elites and executive branch decision makers might. This explains why public support for Israel is generally unwavering unless Israel acts in a manner that contradicts the American public’s expectations of how a liberal democracy should behave .

Precisely. In various peer reviewed journal articles in political science spheres emphasizes the common bond between Israel and the United States , and it is the liberal democracy that influences public opinion, more so than political machinations in the form of lobbying groups. This is the sound basis that enables continued American public's support of Israel, which in turn influences the elected officials who represent said constituencies. So long as Israel remains a vibrant liberal democracy, it will continue to receive the blessings of American public opinion.

.
Also for Arabs (Muslims) it's religion that drives their world and Islam teaches them not to ally with Christians/Jews, so for US Arabs will be unreliable partners anyways. In case of India, we didn't recognize Israel till mid 90s (Oil being the factor) what we got in return was resolutions against us in OIC

Although anti-Americanism is genuinely widespread among Arab governments and peoples, however, there is something seriously misleading in this account. Arab and Muslim hatred of the United States is not just, or even mainly, a response to actual U.S policies – policies that, if anything, have been remarkably pro-Arab and pro-Muslim over the years. Rather, such animus is largely the product of self-interested manipulation by various groups within Arab society, groups that use anti-Americanism as a foil to distract public attention from other, far more seriously problems within those societies.

For years now, anti-Americanism has served as a means of last resort by which failed political systems and movements in the Middle East try to improve their standing. The United States is blamed for much that is bad in the Arab world, and is used as an excuse for political and social oppression and economic stagnation. And thus rather than pushing for greater privatization, equality for women, democracy, civil society, freedom of speech, due process of law, or other similar developments sorely needed in the Arab world, the public focuses instead on hating – the United States. What makes this strategy remarkable, however, is the reality of past U.S policy toward the region. For example, the United States may have had its own reasons for saving the Kuwait from annexation by Iraq’s secular dictatorship in 1991 – mainly to preserve cheap oil. But U.S policy was still, in effect, pro-Kuwaiti, pro-Muslim, and pro-Arab. Afterall, Washington could have used the war as a pretext to seize Kuwait’s oil fields for itself or demand lower prices or political concessions in exchange for fighting off Iraq. Instead, U.S leaders did none of these things and sought the widest possible support for their actions among Arabs and Muslims.

effort to resolve the Palestinian

there is no effort to resolve why are you thinking they want to resolve? the only thing they do is fighting for israels interest, but they also do not want to have too much bad PR thats why they sometimes try to calm israel down not more not less

I tried tagging as many American citizens.

I am not american!

.
US government is half Juuh and half paid by Juuhs. Doesn't matter if you ask the question if they should continue supporting Israel. The fact is that they will. I guess it is not GUD for Palestinians :butcher:

.
The relationship is fueled by 2 factors which are independent of any brotherly love

a) Corporation's desire to maintain control over resources , and having a base in region helps maintain
Some level of influence over region. Majority of the corporations are run by folks who hold soft spot for
Israel due to religious love for second coming of Jesus.

b) The western Media , fails to show full spectrum of damage to Americans. With out these share of data
the public opinion is minipulated with positive images of Israel and Negative data on victims.

c) The individual presidents who are deicision makers are influenced by the political donations they attain for their
Campaigns , and this money ensures that only select folks are brought in higher echelon of government who
will support 2 entities

1) Corporations - who want policies that don't introduce taxes, and ensure access to cheap labor and resources
2) Jesus Lovers - who feel that unconditional support to Israel will bring back Jesus

Many conservatives (Jesus-hadies) , tend to also run powerful corporations which further complicates the scenarios.

The third force in the mix are of course the Zionist , who do run campaigns and maintain a suitable budget to ensure public sees the positive propaganda on Israel in their local subway trains or commute

Most of the capital firms in USA have heavy Jewish element , and so do the Media companies
and the media also promotes entities who display Israel in good light

  • Campaign includes images of young girls wearing Israeli Military Uniform
  • Young Israelis having a great time on beaches in very , American style images
  • Funding , press writers to write specific articles that show up in news right after , Israeli force commit a blunder or war crime. Example of such writeup comes in shape of
writing stuff about Holocaust , out of blue. Instead of reporting on war crimes. These writeups are written on front page, on the same date Israeli Army either kills a child or women or commits mass murder by destroying civilian hospital

Meanwhile , Palestinian resistance movement civilians are normally called "Terrorist" or referred by a political party affiliation , and that party is portrayed as the trouble maker for merely asking for an independent state where they can have their own armies and navies

The general public once it reaches an age where they do independent research , don't identify with Israel - because they have nothing in common with zionist, unless of course if the polls were done in a specific city where high concentration exists of specific group

In 2005, a push was made to stop Israeli Settlements in Israel, however those push ideas were shoved aside after suddenly , US economy went down , 2006 due to financial problems in stock market. I mean who would have pulled their money out of the financial sector. This was a prime example of how , when Global financial companies pull out their assets from US Banks could effect US economy

Instead 800 billion was taken as grant from US tax payers:o:

There is nothing in common between Israel and American

  • Americans , are laid back easy going , Zionist Israelis are mostly hardliners who would shoot a child.
  • Americans donate to world wide causes, Israeli Zionist are recipient of aid money they
from US and mostly charities who sent billions to its expansion efforts. Not to mention Zionist are known to blow up United Nation run schools and hospitals
  • Americans would help build hospitals and treat folks free, Zionist will make the ambulance wait 8 hours at checkpoints even if women is in labor
  • US/ Americans open their country to legally come and go for any visitor , Zionist have rules to single out people based on religion and have illegal fencing.
  • Americans are still heavily inclined by Christianity , and Zionist are mostly hardliners who control the Jesus second coming as tool to control Christians
  • Americans would go to start a war perhaps to help out , but Zionist would sink an American Navy Boat , and then say sorry and get away with things or they would kill an activist by running a bulldozer over her.

There is nothing in common but the media , and newspapers would make you feel other way

The only reason why USA supports Israel , is indirect influence from Corporations , which have heavy influence on Presidential Campaigns. They donate Millions as a group , and they only donate if a Political President Campaigner has agreed to two promises

a) They will continue support of Israel
b) They will not tax corporation or force them to bring their assets from overseas to USA

By the time the 2-3 candidates are presented before the American public they only get candidates who will continue the same policies already imposed by Corporations. Does not matter who the American people will choose as their leader the outcome will always be in control of Corporations that run America

So the argument that American people support Israel's war crimes is not fully correct , but instead the real argument is , that Israel is supported by the Policies approved by US corporations, which are implemented by their representatives Chosen and funded by them.

This is why we have a situation where for decades US polices have stayed same with respect to Israel

A fascinating , point , was it not Clinton who tried to broker peace between Israel and Yasser Arafat ? Immediately after , a scandal broke out ??? against him :P

Why should the US continue to support Israel?

1) We are bound to by treaty.
2) Lebanon is a failed state, Syria is a failed state, Iraq is a failed state, Libya is a failed state, Egypt is an open question. Israel is an anchor for our interests in the region.
3) Israel is a liberal democracy that largely shares our values.
4) Our support enables us to control their defense industry (veto rights over transfer of technology).
5) Our defense and technology sectors are deeply intertwined.
6) Our support binds them to us diplomatically (Israel has a socialist past, leaving an opening for Russia or China).
7) Their intelligence agencies are able to provide critical insight into the area.
8) Israel is a magnet for Muslim supremacists and terrorists who would otherwise go after us directly. $3bn in aid essentially leverages up to a ~$17bn mosquito torch for the region.
9) We can use Israel as diplomatic leverage in the region (i.e. we will restrain Israel, in return, you do something for us).

The better question is, why shouldn't we continue to support Israel?

What? No religion thing in your list? What about those all powerful evangelicals that we all supposedly submit to? :-)

Yes, U.S.A should continue to support for Israel... They have good contribution for humanity, i.e good contribution in chemistry , physics, optics, medicine, economics, biotechnology, theoretical computer science unlike Palestine which is master in developing only tunnels.
