Militarily we do not have any advantage in Kashmir anymore.

And pretty much all of LOC (and especially the crossable points) have been walled, and wired up.

India should now treat Kashmir as its local issue and not Pakistani issue.

Buy these nice planes to project power against powers who are trying to push their way into Indian oceans.

Pakistan is no longer a threat. Even long range guns in India can cover most of Pakistani heartland.

So there is no point in buying expensive stuff so you can wrestle with Pakistan. That will be utter stupidity.

Agreements such as this simply say that we will give you kits and you will assemble at your location.

Read the fine print.

It will never ever never allow you to see the design. Ever.

If you insist on ToT, then India must delay this purchase, go into joint design of a new plane and spend billions putting the whole thing together.

Then obviously Indian will have some tech transfered.

But not the way you are insisting.

Don't take me wrong.

It will be good if India can get some ToT but it will not come cheap.
