JF-17 Thunder Block III is still long away, it's either going to be the block III or J-10C's lets see what happens but a gap needs to be filled ASAP or we are in trouble.

PAF has and is always trying to get more they always wanted a total of 100 in the fleet but its not a easy task to gain specially when you have US as the manufacturer of the bird.

J10C is more better option but at the moment more F16s are required by PAF.

-We will keep on producing extra BLK IIs till 2021.
-Simultaneously we will procure second hand F-16s as many as we can.
-We will also upgrade existing fleet of thunders (BLK II) with new goodies most prob AESA upgrade.
-Then in 2021 we will get a fully operational squadron of BLK III thunders.
PAF will already be receiving used F-16s , BLK IIs and later on BLK IIIs thus no need for a new platform like J-10.

-(16-20 JF-17 BLK IIIs +more on order
-(150 JF-17 BLK IIs)
-(100-120- F-16s)
-(20-50 ~ Mirages).

These 20-50 mirages need to go need new platform I think should go for 36j10c or j11b/d if Russia allow China to sell it to Pakistan. Mirages are too old

They getting offer from all vendors including LM and Boeing. Pak should procure more new F16s blk 70 with more used one with V upgrades no need for J10 now straight to 5th Gen simple quick.

Mushraf missed the golden opportunity during 2001-2008 when USA love with Pakistan was at peak because of Afghan war. He could have easily get 100 more F-16s with very soft condition

Musharaf had an opportunity to cut a deal when he was asked "are you with us or against us?" - then could he ask "are you with Pakistan as well?"

He could've asked for liberation of Kashmir or something that large - but he was hollow inside. His il-legitimacy made him a weak player on the global stage. Rather he felt compelled to build covers of democracy around him that he freed corrupt, criminals and pitch-black outlaws in the name of NRO.

On J-10s, I think they are under consideration and decisions are more around what it should include instead of should it be procured. This however is no inside news.
