LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif left for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to convey an important message of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Saudi authorities, Samaa reported.

Shahbaz Sharif during his visit will give assurance of Pakistan’s complete support to Saudi Arabia. He will also meet Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz to discuss important matters regarding the Yemen crisis.

“We will help Saudi Arabia in case of any threat to them... Pakistan will not leave them alone,” Sharif said before leaving for Saudi Arabia. - Samaa

If Pakistan does send it's troops, it will be to shame the UAE. After the nonsense that those idiots over there spouted, they'll have to apologize before Pakistan gives them their protection. Without Pakistani support, they would have faced coup after coup a long time ago.

These Sharif's are sweating it. Boy oh boy! Their investments, properties etc. all at risk. Honestly, they don't care about Ummah and the Saudis at the moment. LMAO

The Sharif's keep on playing this track. I think the Saudis aren't going to buy it though. They are disappointed in the Sharif's. Very very disappointed. Talk about being caught between a rock and and a hard place.

I can confirm. Hugely immense investments. It is general knowledge that the Sharif's have invested billions upon billions in Saudi Arabia and other oil-resource rich Arab countries in the Middle East to restart their steel empire. The Sharif's are shaking at the moment. I swear it.

Just look at these so-called leaders. They invest huge sums in other countries and are the leaders of Pakistan. Wah bhai wah... What loyalty. You wonder where the capital is flying to...

Very difficult bro. The Sharif's know the backlash they are going to receive back home. LMAO The Sharif's are screwed.

They knew the backlash of Kargil and over throwing Army chief too. But they did. If Saudis provided them enough surity for protection I think Sharif will ignore backlash...............

The Arabs are 100% correct when they blame the Sharif's for flip flopping by referring the matter to the parliament. The Sharif's don't have the spine to call a spade a spade. That's a fact that even I can't deny. The Sharif's are in damage control mode now. Making crappy statements and sending messages to the king. You cannot fool these Arabs. They know the psyche of the Sharif's inside out. The Sharif's are trying to buy time, but haven't got any options. The Arabs know this. The Sharif's are in a spot of bother to say the least. Sending Pak troops for ground operation is simply not an option. There is a reason why the Saudis took in Sharif. He is their henchman. At least, that's what the Saudis thought... It's looking very messy for the Sharif's. They are losing the support of Arab nations. To a certain degree, they already have lost a lot of leverage. No doubt. The resentment and disappointment is clear as crystal. This isn't just some IK protest that the Sharif's will see off. This time around, the Sharif's have truly done a lot of damage to themselves. What we are currently witnessing is Game of Thrones in live action. The Sharif's are like the Lannister's trying to hold together their kingdom. It's falling apart... Their allies are demanding their help, but like the Lannister's they are deceiving and indecisive.

One has to question the logic of saudis, why on earth would you require pakistans help agaunst houthis. Is there army not good enough. To fight these rebels? Do they not understand we are currently fighting a full fledged war. Why dont they send us a division strength. As far as diolomatic support we have stated this. Get over it.

They do have some genuine concerns. The reason why they are opting for Pakistan is because they are fighting a Muslim neighbour. Mind you, blood relatives. That's kind of sensitive when the Saudis go in and start conducting ground operations which will result in all kinds of casualties. Can you imagine the backlash? Also, the Saudi army includes soldiers who belong to Yemen. I don't think that these soldiers would be too eager to fight their own kin. Not to mention, Pakistan's golden experience against insurgents. It's a win win for the Saudis. The Pak army would have been a saviour for the Saudi coalition. We have our own problems and concerns thoug. Particularly, the Pak army and the political opposition parties are critical. Had it been up to PML-N, Pak army would be in Yemen right now spilling their blood. You can mark my words.

So they dont want to kill their own relatives but want pak army to kill them, the same logic applies for us. We are fightung our kith and kin, we could do with some help, we could do with saudi arms and firepower and we could also do with arabs removing their own arabs in fata. Whats the differrnce?

Right on the money. Of course we are. Why else do you think there's so much opposition within Pakistan? It's messy. Very messy. Like I said, Game of Thrones....

As nisar stated it is on the part of certain arabs politically immature and against the norms of international relations protocols

KSA doesn't need Pakistan's army as they have enough to fight 'rebels'. They wanted Pakistan to choose sides and I don't think Pakistan is in position to fight another other's war.
