a quadcopter is a drone. Commercially available equipment is used by the armies all the time. In this case it was a pretty simple device, was it military or an amateur you can't really say unless the drone logged where it took off from, the video recorded on the device shows where it took off from, or if it shows who was flying it.

Chinese Company DJI Denies Selling Drones to Indian Government

The Chinese company DJI which manufactured the drone that was taken down by Pakistan said that the drones were not sold to any government bodies. DJI in a statement given to Delhi-based English daily said that the drone is meant for weddings, films and other commercial events only.
There are only two authorized dealers Mayank Chachra and Ameet Nichani selling DJI’s products and both of them said that the Indian Army never approached them for buying a drone.
According to Mayank whose based in Delhi suggested that
the drone was just a ‘toy’ and its specs is not suitable for military operations. Its total battery life is just 15 minutes and has a line-of-sight range of 200-300 metres.

Actually, you dont have grey matter either. That is not the drone the Pakistani police uses since they use a rather cheap one that only flies under constant operator control and is pretty pathetic. In addition, what the fudge is a Police drone doing near the border, even the most stupidest of conspiracy theorists from your countries doesn't come up with that nonsense except the intellectual gemstones we have representing Indians on PDF.

It is a Phantom 3, which is a very expensive high end drone only known to proper enthusiasts and not terror groups or fat bribe accepting policemen.. and clearly neither the Pakistani Rangers either.

The drone that was shot down by the Pakistani military earlier in the week was made in China, not India, Chinese media reported, citing the Shaghai-based Observer website According to the People’s Daily news outlet, the drone was identified as DJI Phantom 3,

now your news report is proves that your police forces operate that UAV.
it is known that pakistani police operate this UAV due to a pakstani news report in dawn news report. may be rangers also operate this UAV, it is common in pakistani military to use Chinese UAVs in a greater no. it is common for pakistanis to reject everything even if there is proof. they never accepted any thing.

We do not sell directly to government bodies, We are proud that our products have been used for a wide range of applications including film making, agriculture, wedding photography, real estate, firefighting and search and rescue… That said, military and security applications are not a focus for us,” Spokesperson for DJI, Micheal Perry said.

now this proves that that UAV is a toy which is not good for military purpose.

Dear sir,
First of do you know what a drone is?
You are called it a quad copter but forgetting its a drone quad copter it is a unmanned thing.
You are quite funny thinking a drone is a big thing and a quad copter is a small childs play and beware just in case i need to tell you not all drones fly.
Hope it helps. Good day.

Did you read what I just posted.
yes, i do..
the manufacture(company) of those UAV didn't manufacture military grade UAVs. be it phantom 2 model or phantom 3 model.. both are not a military grade UAV. indian army even rejected the US made reven UAV, so do you think they will buy a Chinese UAV?? and indian side of the border is highly militarized no civilian can fly a uav in that area without indian army's permission, and the range of that uav is 300m. the distance b/w LOC fence and the border fence is minimum 500m to maximum 1 km. and in b/w them there is no houses there, only some places have farming fields. but the farmers can only go there after security checking by army/BSF. so there is no chance that any civilins form indian side uses that UAV. and BSF and army have better UAVs so they won't buy that Chinese UAV. then the only chance is from pakistan. Pakistan police uses this UAV. don't know whether rangers uses it. so in all probability that UAV is from pakistan. no from india.

Oh sure. India this and India that. An ant does not crawl inside India and pidgeons, monkeys and cows are all spies.
All the while these drones are becoming more and more common on the India market.

This drone even has a representative in India when it has nothing in Pakistan.

Yea everyone knows quad copter is a drone & everyone here also knows what is indicated by drone word.Obviously a military or surveillance drone, not a quad copter.

now, you are trolling..
the link you are provided is a site for commercially toy selling company. you should understand that the difference b/w a military UAV and a commercially available one. the indian army even rejected the american reaven uav. so you think they will brought this toy!!!??? in the mean time your police is operating this phantom UAV. so it is possible that your rangers will also use this. or that "mujahid force". even that DJI phantom company had agreed that they never sell their product to indian security forces. so what makes you believe that that is an indian military UAV?? just because your military shot it doesn't mean that that is indian uav.
no offence, your ISPR is a joke. they should had have check the details of that UAV before declaring that UAV as indian. they should at least need to understand that UAV is operated by pakistani police.

btw, it is not our fault that your intelligence agencies needs to depend on cameras fitted on pigeons, monkeys and cows for surveillance on india.

Actually, you are an idiot because you are the typical reactionary Indian who posts before reading or thinking whenever it is regarding Pakistan. All of my past posts have referred to the drone NOT being operated by the Indian military and most likely by a civilian enthusiast.. but if your messed up dna would allow you to see that is another matter.
