A Saudi prince related to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's seemingly took aim at President Biden and the U.S., warning leaders not to threaten Saudi Arabia.
"Anybody that challenges the existence of this country and this kingdom. All of us, we are products of jihad, and martyrdom," Saudi Prince Saud al-Shaalan, who is married to one of the grandaughter's of the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud, said in a video that was posted to Twitter Saturday. "That's my message to anybody that thinks that it can threaten us."
King Abdulaziz Al Saud founded Saudi Arabia.
The video comes amid a time of unprecedented tensions between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, with the oil-rich kingdom leading an OPEC+ decision last week to cut oil production despite American requests to increase exports.

Biden lashed out at Saudi Arabia following the decision, accusing the country of siding with Russia in its war with Ukraine and warning of "consequences" for the kingdom.

"There's going to be some consequences for what they've done with Russia," Biden said during an interview with CNN last week.
In response, Saudi Arabia released a long statement of its own denying the decision was made to help Russia.
"The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would first like to express its total rejection of these statements that are not based on facts, and which are based on portraying the OPEC+ decision out of its purely economic context," the Saudi foreign ministry said.

The back-and-forth tensions have caused concern that the longtime security alliance between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia could be in the midst of fracturing.
But a Saudi source tells Fox News Digital that al-Shaalan's rhetoric does not represent the views of the government and there is a good chance that they will take action against the prince for posting the video.

Fox News Digital reached out to the spokesman of the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C., for comment.

and the Brits.

Can anyone point out what, if any, good the Saudis have done for the wider Muslim world as leaders of the Ummah, using the vast bounties they have received from Allah? and if they are neutered like Saddam was, by the big Satan, whether the Muslim world is going to feel their loss? (aside from oil prices, which affect the whole world, not just muslims, so that doesn't count )

They have done great for the ppl they r responsible, ie saudi citizens. They rid the holly mosque of sects where 4 different prayers used to happen at a time and now there is one. They have uplifted the poor ppl and educated them, providing them the best facilities.
As far as other muslims are concerned, they have helped every nation, especially Pakistan. Its not their fault that ur rulers are corrupt thugs and don't let the country develop.

I did some research and this individual is not from the House of Saud. He belongs to the ancient Anizah tribe and is one of the sheikhs (princes) of this tribe that exists in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, UAE, Egypt, Libya, Maghreb and much of the Arab world.

His name is Nayef Al-Shaalan Al-Ruwaili Al-Anzi and he is an former Afghan mujahideen. Apparently he speaks fluent Arabic, English, French, Russian, Pashto and Italian. Married to the daughter of Prince Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

Western media posting fake news as usual.

Not to mention helping Islamic communities in every corner of the globe in an unparalleled manner in Islamic history. Or the ongoing modernization projects in Makkah and Madinah that will enlarge the Hajj and Umrah tenfold if that can do it. Great allies of Pakistan as well.

Anyway anyone trying to start a war with KSA is undergoing a suicide mission willingly. Every conflict in the Muslim world (world as a whole) would look like a picnic in comparison. I have no doubt about that.

Not unique to Saudis. All of the Gulf sheikhdoms have done that which is what other tribes expect of them to retain their loyalty. However, they do not tolerate political criticism, even very mild ones, and severely punish it. They sentenced a 72 year old Saudi-American to 16 years 3 months in prison for harmless tweets years ago when he was in America. So they rule based on fear.

All great powers are insecure as well, china also doesn't tolerate criticism. They think of it as a virus that can spread. Westerners on the other hand gives u an facade of freedom. The sheikhdoms atleast take care of their citizens, which in my view is the most important duty of a ruling regime, so if they r doing good in this aspect, i can tolerate the demand of loyalty.

Rizq [provision] is from Allah. They have no right to imprison and murder people because they cannot tolerate criticism. Rule by fear and persecution [injustice] should have no place in the world. It is against the universal declaration of human rights and against the Prophet's Sunnah. In contrast, they are happily loosening public morals to accept partying, semi-nudity, alcohol, and other vices [same like Saddam and other Arab dictators].
