Turki Al-Sheikh: Prince Mohammed bin Salman saved our sport from "disaster" by providing support amounting to one billion and 277 million riyals

Prince Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Authority for Sport, announced that Saudi Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman will pay all club debts related to foreign affairs.

Al-Sheikh said Saudi sport was heading for disaster before the meeting of the Saudi Crown Prince, who is very supportive of all sports files, including football in particular.

The debts of foreign clubs represent a major obstacle in the way of the Saudi clubs because of the high value of the accumulated material for many years because of successive administrations of a number of Saudi clubs.

Saudi clubs have been plagued by foreign debt being sent to the International Football Association (FIFA) and are on the way to forced ending with harsh sanctions against Saudi clubs.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman's support for Saudi sports clubs during the last few periods of time amounted to 1 billion and 277 million riyals, which helped save and lead them to safety, especially in relation to the issues of foreign clubs which amounted to 107 cases.

The support of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman included many clubs in the Saudi professional league and first-class clubs. Saudi professional league clubs took 375 million riyals and first-class clubs 110 million riyals.

The crown prince's interest in Saudi sport was not confined to club entities. It went beyond that to the Saudi professional league Association with financial support of 25 million riyals. The referees committee received 35 million riyals.

Well Saudi sports club , spend , and then fire coaches & change players often and this results in Law suits from players and fired coaches whose contract are terminated early

FIFA normally has full protection for Player / Coach contract and normally that means Saudia Clubs are fined by FIFA and international bodies for failiure to protect European/South American player contracts.

When player complaints line up it turns into Debt for Local Saudi clubs and then they face sanctions from FIFA

Apart from 5 National Clubs sponsored by Princes & Business entities in Saudia the remaining clubs are financially not as strong as their fan base is limited

Saudi Federation does helps balance out the debt for their registered clubs from time from time it is not extraordinary, only in order to balance the playing field and even smally clubs can have a proper team with financial support

To my understanding all Registered clubs are given a financial Payment start of each season to run their affairs which is reasonable , a compensatin to have qualified for their ellite league

. .
70% of Debt is self inflicted , importing players and coaches who are under par who don't perform to expectations

15% players leave due to family pressure , as life in Saudia drastically different

15% Just turn out dud players

The Clubs in Saudia don't have a Long term planning mentality as in EPL a coach has to immediately perform in given season 4-5 loses and you are done

This mentality is common across all Gulf Leagues (UAE, Qatar , Saudia , Kuwait)

The coaches don't have chance to make correction or adjustments over 3-5 year cycle

In Europe , teams have mentaliaty of letting coach do his thing for 3-5 years and build and construct his team , and develop players (Typically Lower to Mid tier clubs)
