Sania Mirza being threatened by a Hindu extremist with flowers. Now she will move to Pakistan and demand Pakistani citizenship !

Very Sad to know she is great south Asian player they sole female tennis player is in this sub-continent. Fanatics should be kept in under strict laws we can't stop people to be radicalized but we can divert their negative forces into useful healthy competitions either in literature or in social activities. But unfortunately education system in Indian and Pakistan produce only clerk type people not a great independent thinking mindsets which help our countries to grow in education and social sciences.

I will not comment about Pakistani education system here, but who told you Indian education system produces clerk type people ? Do you know how many Indians are CEOs and other top position holders the World over ?

I respect your opinion sorry for my shallow knowledge but i am talking about the parentage.

Even a Indian Muslim like Sania Mirza is crying for being questioned about her patriotism. Shame on those who call india a secular country. Its an extremist hindu state where people got killed for the rumors of cow eating and cow transporting!

Now, that is even more queer. Am I missing something ? Can you please elaborate ?

Not everyone is a ceo type or brilliant in their fields. In India we produce more engineers than the industry can absorb.

Unfortunately most students in our subcontinent don't graduate from school. We both have high dropout rates. If we educate average joe to do basic math and have well round understanding of the world then you have done your job.

India has a much better primary school completion rate compared to Pakistan and Bangladesh:

Primary completion rate, total (% of relevant age group) | Data | Table

It was at 96% compared to 67% for Pakistan in 2011 and 75% for Bangladesh.

For lower secondary:

Lower secondary completion rate, total (% of relevant age group) | Data | Table

79% for India, compared to 39.5% for Pakistan and 58.4% for Bangladesh in 2011.

The World Bank takes its data from UNESCO where you can find more standardized data, especially under "completion>gross intake ratio to last grade" subcategory:

UIS Statistics

There are lots of conflicting reports out there from different years and some are covered in a very bad/limited way....so UNESCO seems to be the best cross-country source out there.

For example I am reading links on google that say the dropout rate for India for primary education is 40%, whereas UNESCO says this was a figure for 2001. It probably arises because of children being re-admitted etc and the different ways you can count this (you can just add up across the entire spectrum of grades and assume those kids never return to school rather than accommodating for returness and grade repeaters etc.)

But anyways we should not be comparing with Pakistan and Bangladesh who are worse (especially Pakistan)...but China where the rates are at 100% or close to it.

So by saying "most" do not graduate from school, you would have to qualify that statement as school meaning the last grade of high school....and also show that way more kids in India complete primary and lower secondary in % terms compared to the other two large populations of South Asia. Because the statement is not true for primary or lower secondary in India as shown by UNESCO.
