What's new

Saeed Ajmal BANNED from ICC . He can't play for Pakistan cricket

never did he say that your going to hell….. all he said was "prepare for the hell fire then" …. technically its different.
like saying
your going to get your *** beat..
or prepare to get your *** beat.

Subtle difference. So let me modify my statement. He said if you don't follow my religion, be prepared for hellfire. Does it sounds better? It might be a private conversation. But such things that have slightest possibility of creating unnecessary dissent should be nipped at bud. Religion is a private business. Should keep it out of sports ground.

I offended no one here,,,god is one whether hindu, sikh or muslim.
I have every right to critisize god..........as i am god's creation(according to religious people)
No one has copyright over god(whether he/she exists or not)

All I am pointing out is that religious topics are against PDF rules, that is all. It is your choice to follow them or not.

Please read my post above. Slowly. :D

To hell with the ICC. Shouldn't even call it cricket any more. It should be called 'batting' where once in a while someone throws a ball at you.

It's not even about this latest ban.

Test cricket is dying, one day cricket is being manipulated, a new even crappier version of T20 is in the making, where it seems they can't get by without 10-15 mid-over adverts.

RIP cricket.

What surprises me the most is that ALL his deliveries were found to be illegal, not just the doosra. It would be near impossible for him to remodel the action and make a comeback at that age.

I never cared much for cricket anyway. :D

I am not arguing religion. But the actions of a certain cricketer, and if any action against him by ICC is justified.

This post of yours already said it all:

It works both ways. He has freedom to speak his mind, ICC has freedom to decide if he can play in games officiated by it. There are certain codes of ICC, that restricts that freedom to a certain degree. And this is justified.

An easier example would be - you have freedom to curse and abuse any one. But abuse your boss in your office and you would get fired, your right to speak your mind won't save you. There are constitutional laws, and there are certain codes of certain venues. You won't face any action from the government, which gave you almost unrestricted freedom of speech, but the administrator of that venue is authorized to take certain (legal) actions for breaking its code and would be justified to do so.

This was just about the only sport that interested me and it is being 'ruined' (wanted to say something else there, forum rules forbid).

And the format that was my favourite was Test cricket, test cricket with some awesome bowling. Bowlers have been put down like sick dogs. Test cricket being killed off because it is isn't nearly as profitable.

not on this forum lol
you have a right to criticize him any other place but religious discussions are banned here.

All games evolve over time in view of changing preferences of the people playing them. Those that cannot adapt gradually die out.

Test cricket is perhaps too slow of a pace for the modern world?

how about mualitharan?? they changed rules for him…

don't you think your taking a bit too far???
do you believe non-muslims will go to heaven??
unfortunately lunacy is freedom of speech as well….
what your saying sounds a bit looney as well.
game of cricket is not the place to compare notes on religious beliefs and afterlife
such lunacy wont help him or his team to win the games.
hence I said he is in the wrong venue

ICC has tighten the screws on chuckers in recent times. Ajmal is not the only one. There are three others from Sri Lanka, NZ and West Indies who have been reported and tested and banned. Ajmal was a chucker from day 1. Just because ICC wasn't strict enough before does not make that right now. It is terrible for him and I feel for the guy but the right thing has been done.
Saeed chuckmal :p:
