Russian jets in Syrian skies

Not exactly. If they can kill every Islamist out there, be it thousands or or billions, they win the war 8-)

If "Islamist" means every anti-Al-Assad regime Syrian there will be no Syrians left aside from 2-3 million Alawis and a few Christians and Sunni Arabs.

I tend to think that even the Alawis aspire to one day live in a democratic and prosperous state. Something that Syria has never been when ruled by the Al-Assad clan.

The time of the absolute rulers in the MENA region (and everywhere else) is coming to an end whether they or their supporters like it or not. You can't prevent time from doing it's thing.

Russians will bomb indiscriminately. If you thought Syrian pilots are bad, Russian pilots are way worse :o: They'll use cluster bombs even.

There are three million Christians in Syria, 13% of the population. Not a large number, but not a small number either.

Comparing Russian pilots with Syrian pilots (Al-Assad mercenaries) is an insult to Russian pilots who whether we like it or not are among the most competent pilots out there.

The Al-Assad regime does not really have an air force left. It's now turned into a barrel bombing squad of lunatics.

The longer the Al-Assad regime stays in power the more "Islamists" will emerge. The supply line is endless. You need to find a political solution and the Al-Assad clan has played its role in the history of Syria. There can be no stable and united Syria as long as Al-Assad is in power of parts of Syria.

Everyone must start from scratch. Either that or the winner takes it all. As of now there is no "final solution" for any party. Just more suffering for all parties involved.

:o: I shudder to think. What is certain is the deaths will vastly increase when Russian bombing starts.

russian pilots with deadly russian birds will make short work of ISIS, JN and any foolish rebel buddies that hang with them.

They'll focus on cities like Idlib and eastern Aleppo most likely. Then SAA can take over the rubble :o: They'll send a message: this is what happens to rebel held cities. The nature of the bombing will be strictly punitive.

Russian bombings will not change much on the ground really. Did US + Arab + Turkish bombardments (on a much bigger scale than a possible Russian involvement in Syria) of ISIS in Iraq and Syria change anything on the ground fundamentally? Not really. In fact it just created more recruits for ISIS as many civilians in ISIS held areas have died due to those same bombardments. Almost all setbacks suffered by ISIS have come due to direct confrontation with them on the ground. Whether in Syria or Iraq.

I don't think that Russia is willing or ready (especially in their current political and financial situation with Ukraine next door burning and a growing insurgency in Caucasus) to send substantial troops to Syria. I don't see them embarking on that route at all.

Also you are totally unrealistic. Do you really think that Russia will take such an step and if they do that the regional anti-Al-Assad regime countries next door plus the US of all countries would sit idle back and just watch it happen?

It will just likely mean an increased support for the rebels who are extremely poorly armed. Imagine if an outside air force started to bomb Al-Assad positions in Syria and if the Syrian opposition was much more heavily armed? The end result would be obvious for everyone.

They don't have jets in Syria. Russia has lots of jets in Latakia. Russian bombing will be far more frequent and intense. Unlike them, Russia is willing and will hurt civilians.

Yes i can imagine the GCC who have done nothing for Palestine plus US will declare war with Russia.

You have to phone the leaders in the GCC and discuss politics with them. First you need to obtain their numbers and secondly you will have to hope that they will bother to talk to you directly. After doing that you will have to phone Barack Hussein Obama and every Muslim leader and regime. After that maybe Netanyahu and ask him kindly to help create an Palestinian state.

Ordinary people have no say. Not even in the West as much as we think so because we can vote a few times every 5 years and can become members of local political parties and unions. Power like everywhere else belongs in the hands of a small close-knitted elite in every country and in the world as a whole. Those elites work together and establish/influence the agenda of the world on almost every imaginable front. You can do your thing in the UK to try and change that and see where your mission will end. Something tells me that it will end in a garbage bin or a local McDonalds. A business that btw has more power and influence than numerous countries of the world, lol.

What is certain is Russia is hell bent on killing on a massive scale. The Syria war is entering a new and much bloodier phase.

Syrian government is internationally legitimate , Russian planes, outposts , Tartous port in Syria with consent of legitimate government is not an invasion.
Then United States in South Vietnam wasn't an invasion either. Yet it's viewed as so by basically everyone. Shove your double standards up your ***.
