The middle east needs to join east and west (minus US-france-britain). Meaning, enhance ties with both blocs, and try to enhance home-grown capabilities. That's the only way out of this disgusting mess. And finally, lay aside differences in the region. Because even though you might be arab nationalist or pan-arabist, Iran and Saudi have more mutual interest than Saudi and Morocco do. It's sheer geographics.
