To be fair, I am not a fan of Biden either (am Republican) but there are pretty much nothing Biden can do. And he tried to drag it on for as long as possible

The key is Trump withdraw too many troop during his presidency, as a result, he left only 2500 troop for the entire country. That's not enough.

Mark Esper said clearly during an interview after the US withdrawal, he told Trump the red line is 4500, and Trump disregarding this because he want to pull as many troop as possible in order to win an election. In the end, it went way below the red line.

Result is there are simply not enough US troop to hold the ANA together when the Taliban surge, and Biden is left with 2 choices, either put the troop back, or take them all out. But he can't really go back on Doha Agreement, that was a Foreign policy instead of a Presidential Executive Order, which mean the only way he can rescind that order is to take it up to congress. Which he won't stand a chance.

If he leave those troop in, and when Taliban pushes, what we are going to see is 2500 American body bag coming home. Which make him no choice but to pull the remining troop.

Just for a comparison on how much 2500 troop can hold. During the withdrawal phase, US have 7500 troop with some ANA volunteer to hold just the Kabul international, we can't even hold the road leading into the airport and that's why we lost 13 men guarding the gate. 2500 troop is nothing if you compare to the entire country.

The use of "Khinzal" missiles only shows the Russian military isn't even able to fly sorties into Ukraine and provide CAS to its troops on the ground because of fear of the Ukrainian air defence systems and manpads.

They can't properly use effective air force given their aircrafts use in majority unguided bombs,most of their aircrafts don't even have targeting pods or guided bombs,they have to fly low to provide CAS,thus in range of manpads and other Ukrainian air defence systems.

Russia is now only capable to strike Ukraine using cruise missiles fired from safe distance inside the Russian territory. RuAF is trash and this war only confirms it.

This is nothing more than routine flights. Japan may have sanctioned Russia under American orders, but they don't and won't get involved militarily. Russia is likewise not a fool to open another front when it is facing 20 countries on one side.

That being said, attacking Japan would need a very, very solid reason at this point. They have fancy equipment but little combat experience in the last 75 years and that could be an impediment. Most likely, the 30,000+ US troops will fight on their behalf.
