Their stand is incorrigible.
From BD's perspective, it is a liability to have these people when they harbor demonstrable anti-state leaning. Is there any count on the number of such people in Bangladesh? Are they entitled to employment and services from the state?
I do not think BD views them as security threat. These people are muslim in a muslim country.
The issue is they live in refugee camps. Integration is limited and they do not have the capacity to vote, they are unable to take up higher education, stable jobs etc.
There is zero impediments to taking up BD citizenship. This issue is not a big one and in time all of these guys will take up BD citizenships. The last remnants of holdouts remains. The second, third and now forth generation have known nothing but Bangladesh. At this point what really is achieved by holding out for PK citizenship...its not happening. Once the 71 generation dies this issue will die with them.
These so called standed Pakistanies are BD citizens. This issue wont carry on very long.
