I have been given a negative rating by @jhungary at Vietnam offers Japan military base to foil China in Scs without any prior warning.

Upon the negative rating, I have deleted the message and stated that I would not be posting similar comments if it is against forum rules.

I do not insist to repeat the offence and I do not insist the post was warranted (if it is found as an offence).

I kindly request the mods/seniors to review the case and remove the negative rating because there was no prior warning that the particular post was insulting, I have immediately deleted the post and I won't be posting a similar content.

Sirs, I do hope that you will at least offer your verdict on the issue as I request the negative rating to be lifted. I have listed the reasons. Beyond those, unlike what jhungary suggests, the post in question has never been intended to be insulting against the Vietnamese.

I have no history of insulting a group of people as I distinguish between peoples and governments. As a Pan- （East）Asianist, it is inconceivable I would be holding any negative feelings against people in China-sphere and beyond. I have not once used any racial slur in any one of my posts. .

I have no interest, as well as expertise on sociological/cultural issues. My area is interstate relations and hence my posts are.

If there is a generalization in that post, it is only a generalization about the US Army as an institution as being rapist and murderer. If this is an insult, I admit it, and hence I deleted my post.

I have never been subject to US-led drone attacks, unlike people of Pakistan, but I have done extensive study on it from the perspective of international law. Therefore, perhaps we must leave the duty of defending the integrity of US Army to the US members.

I do hope that you would look at the issue under this light and see that my post has never been intended as an insult to the Vietnamese but only describing the US Army operating in foreign lands as rapists and murderers. If this is against forum rules, please state it openly. I will not be repeating my argument and I have already deleted what I have posted.

I do hope that you would be lifting the negative rating.

First of all,you have deleted your post when it was rated negatively.A poster must not delete his/her post when negative,b/c once deleted,the ratings given cannot be reversed as for reversal,you must make the post accessible and the post is only accessible when it is not deleted.

I am requesting this rating be reversed, not explained, Sirs. A light-hearted comment in the Stupid&Funny section does not deserve such a rating at all.

Thank you for your kind response.

My reasoning for deleting was that I thought moderators could retrieve and do the required action. I just did not want a negative rated post to be still visible to regular posters.

I am not sure I myself can reverse it.

Would any one of the moderators kindly retrieve the deleted post so that the required action would be taken?

It must be a mistake as i do not remember rating any post from him. Also i am a miser when it comes to rating, both ways. Most of the time i will just go and report a post that is not suitable as that makes it disappear and i feel that it is more appropriate as that wont cause any further flaming on the thread!

well i still am looking forward for @Syed.Ali.Haider to let me know about the post and i will surely sort it. About te context you mentioned, well, i do not like mocking beliefs of any one, not even if it is light hearted. Still i don't really remember any post from Ali that i could have rated negative, also i think i am on good enough terms with him that i wont need to rate it,, usy tu mein seedhy seedhy kah sakta hoon shikiat kr sakta hoon i suppose.

Anyway, @Syed.Ali.Haider please reply when you get online and kindly share a link to the mentioned post.
