My uncle knew a couple of Pilots in the Pak Air force who decided to leave and join Bangladesh after the liberation war. I wish I had been born at that time, I would have done everything in my power to keep us together, even if it meant fighting against ego maniacs like yahya and Bhutto alongside Mujeeb.

I know my views matter little, especially after 40 years have gone, but I want to say that I have never considered the Bengalis as the traitors of Pakistan, on the contrary I continue to hold the majority of the statesmen from Western Pakistan as the real traitors as they failed to listen to the will of the people and democratically hand over power to the peoples chosen representatives.

1971 was the only time in the history of the world when a minority (45%) called the majority (55%) of the population traitors.

Thanks bro, wish every Pakistani were like you!

Sadly that is the bitter truth!

wish that would've never happened,Bhutto just wanted to rule,
it was a tremendous loss,
if bengal province stayed with pakistan, a lot wouldv changed, out own acts brought us to this level.

Dude, don't confuse reaction with what we did. We were responsible for starting it all, India just took advantage of our stupidity.

No ones disputing that but our Bengali friends need to realize that that 'we' includes 'them' too not just the big bad West-Pakistani !

That age old Urdu aphorism 'Taaaliii dooo haaath seh bajtiii hai' rings true in most cases.

Sad but true. some power hungry generals and politicians divided Pakistan. Something religious facists will never understand.
