Question on Hadith.

Logic,

The thing is camel urine isn't part of the religion in Islam. It was one of the totkas during that time to cure that certain disease. Cow urine and how it is used in India in a daily life is part of the Hinduism religion and culture of its people, and it has nothing to do with the medical cure of a certain disease. Rather it is encouraged on daily basis as part of the religion.

I for one have nothing against it, as long as someone is not trying to make me drink it.

Lol , Webby instead of going into you are bad and I am good debate I will see it in different way .
Hinduism is not faith .. it is a process of thinking based on spiritualism and it has many philosophies on which saints develop their thoughts like Samkhya - Samkhya - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Advaita - Advaita Vedanta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Buddhism , Buddhism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nyaya Nyaya - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Vaisheshika Vaisheshika - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are many others philosophical schools too

but it doesnt dictate any belief on mases as it is against the values of spiritualism and it allows individuals to develop and follow their personal belief if that belief doesn't hurt others . it also belives that along with wisdom and knowledge, faith can also make u better human if faith fits in Ethics or Karma (behave the way you want others to behave with you )

so if someone wants to marry a cow or wants to drink her urine that his faith .

I'm going to interrupt and say that no muslim should ever ridicule any religion. this was prescribed by the Prophet, himself. The reasons for this are simple, we need to attract followers, not chase them away! It's also to prevent any insult tossed back to Allah or his religion.

I'm also going to warn some members to be the more mature and better person and disregard such comments. there's no need to insult Islam in exchange. Otherwise, I'll see to it myself to start an all out dogma war.

Is that your personal interpretation?

You are indulging in "Bida" if that is the case and you are not allowed to do that! You know what that makes you if you try to improve something which was already PERFECT?

I am not in the least concerned with these kind of stupid issues which belong to a long bygone era. But if you are going to raise such idiotic issues which no one in India is concerned with, may be you can also explain the science behind stoning women to death, chopping off limbs, killing barbers, not letting women be treated by male doctors even if they are left to die, blasting girl schools etc.

Are these also not required now that human society and science has made so much progress?

What part of my post dont you understand? And what Bida crap are you talking about?

Dont you understand that why this was directed to them? And yes Hadith is the saying of prophet by his companions. It is not part of the religion. If the prophet told someone to go take a **** (no disrespect to the PBUH) it is still a hadith. It is not part of the religion in Islam. It was the totka and his scientific knowledge to cure that disease at that time. Ask any Alim or your Zakir Naik dude to verify my claims.

As far as other different practices are concerned we can surely discuss it in other threads along with the worshiping of monkeys, elephants and marrying with dogs etc.. Your most welcome to do that.

Even I have been skeptical about Hadiths.

They reflect 7th century mindset & most of the time contradict science.

Rahman,

Most of the Alim dont believe in such Hadith. Is there any text book where you can verify that it is true?

Chapter 79. The Book of Medicine

VI. Treating with camel urine

5362. Qatada related that Anas said, "Some people fell ill in Madina and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, instructed them to join his herdsman and drink the camel's milk and urine. They joined the herdsman and drank their milk and urine until their bodies became healthy. Then they killed the herdsman and stole the camels. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, heard about that and sent in their pursuit and they were brought. He had their hands and feet cut off and nails put in their eyes."

Qatada said, "Muhammad ibn Sirin related to me that that was before the hudud were revealed."

whatever he did, it seemed to work; I mean they were cured.

Thank God for modern medicine I wouldn't drink that.
