Yes, NS is an idiot for needling the Army about a has-been person like Musharraf. There should be no doubt that in 2008 Musharraf/Army ceded power in return for a safe passage for Musharraf--an arrangement which must be honored. But idiot NS ego is too mighty to compromise.

And by most estimates--even by some pro march posters here--the turn out is much lower than expected and yet the entire nascent system is under threat. If the govt falls because of this low crowd then the next govt can also be toppled by the million marchers of Zardari and Sharifs. And the cycle continues.

No wonder Pakistan has so many issues where even the educated class is so impatient and politically dumb that they can't see beyond the next step.

Sir, it is only the naive who believe that the people are important. Nobody cares about them, although everything is done in their name. NS will either understand that he is to play in his assigned sandbox only, or be kicked out. Zardari was perhaps smarter in this regards than NS.
