Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

Bro they have the ability.
Don't try to reinvent the wheel.
We don't have to make every nut and bolt.
What is doable do what you can buy of the shelf through solid reliable supply chain do it.
I was under the impression the FCS is a bottleneck [which is a strategic capability like engine & engine SW]. I would always suggest localizing the input/knowledge of a subsystem. Buying off-the-shelf creates a dependency and single point of failure. just my opinion.

If that is not the case, then my suggestion would be looking at EW.

.
Let me emphasize, no 5th Gen aircraft is going to be manufactured by Pakistan, at least not in near future keeping in view the capacity, funds and technological and manufacturinh base.. Pakistan will either buy off the shelve or Co developer just like thunder..

With this mentality we’ll definitely never be able to. If you don’t dream big you’ll never do something big. In Sha Allah Pakistan will prove everyone wrong and show what it’s capable of.

In an ideal situation you would be correct. In design however, compromises have to be made.
You must have heard of a small component in a French missile that America refused to clear for Egypt a year or so ago. Since then the French have decided not to have any American components in their weapons.
The world is changing politically. That will help Pakistan in the long run.

Buying certain technologies from allied nations with similar goals...here China and goal being India also helps. China and Russia have been identified as threats by the west. Again Pakistan benefits.

With this mentality we’ll definitely never be able to. If you don’t dream big you’ll never do something big. In Sha Allah Pakistan will prove everyone wrong and show what it’s capable of.
People are generally negative.

1. Atomic weapons program...can't be done
2. Missile program can't be done
3. Tank program can't be done
4. APC cannot be done
5. G3 rifle etc can't be done
6. Jf17 cannot be done.
7. NOW 5TH GEN CANNOT BE DONE....I WILL LAUGH IN THE END INSHALLAH 😂

I was asking about investment if such a mechanism exists to support engineers on new ideas in aviation/EW.
If you're asking if PAC invests in private ventures then the answer is a big no. Much has been written on this very thread and forum about the need to include private enterprise. Some small positive steps exist but they are very small and insignificant for now. Hoping for positive change in the future.

Hi,

Many a years ago I stated on this forum and on sinodef that the J31 was a copy of the F-35 and there were many an innocent and incompetent who challenged me on that---.

"However, available photos show an even larger measure of similarity between the F-35 and Chinese J-31 multi-role fighter"

"At the same time, a 2018 Pentagon news story about DoD’s annual China report mentions that apparent similarities between the F-35 and Chinese J-20 could very well be a result of espionage."

"As recently as last year, another Global Times report said the J-31 showed design improvements at the 2019 Paris Air Show. Photos from the story reveal profound visual similarities between the F-35 and J-31. This is not without precedent, as the Chinese media itself has noted similarities between the two aircraft. "

"The only major difference, the paper notes, is that the U.S. has an F-35B Short Take Off and Landing variant and that the J-31 uses two engines compared to the F-35’s single engine propulsion configuration"

This article is a great read---.

Not a K8, a Mushaak. And I don't know if that was the reason he left or not. Probably many other reasons.

The FCS knowledge at AvRID/PAC is extremely limited - you have to keep in mind they are starting from 0 with no help/communication with SPD organizations who do have a lot of experience with FCS. Compartmentalization is a big issue. However, I am positive about the environment of AvRID/PAC as it is much less suffocating and more conducive to research than SPD orgs. If AvRID survives long term it will impress all of us I believe.

I remember a NUST project where they flew around a scaled down helicopter. I refuse to believe we don't have the required control systems expertise.

So what...
In military circles everyone steals from everyone. After ww2 America took German scientist for its missile and other defence needs. However its common for whiteman to cry when non white do the same to him.

Hi,

Project AZM is possibly a J31.

You can also address me by my name or MK.

Being the second oldest members on the forum, I am too old to be a ' Bhai'. Thank you.

This article is about understanding the roots of the 5th gen project azm---. The roots that originate from the F-35.

I don't think so, a member here with inside connections has mentioned previously that there is zero Chinese involvement with Azm, or close to zero. IIRC.
