You point is good enough but flowed..next time try to avoid getting personal, because you do sound like a fanboy more than others here..The point is Russia has bases in Syria and its troops are all over the place alongside the Syrian army..You kill Russians they will kill you.. it already happened in Syria after the US killed some Russian troops "by mistake", the Russians responded by killing US special forces "by mistake too" or you are not aware of these ground realities..
You tend to mistake propaganda for facts so I am not surprised that you have harbored an inflated sense of Russian power in the region and holistically.
We all saw how much spine Russia had when Turkey shot down its fighter jet near the border. Yes, Russia responded by imposing economic sanctions on Turkey and now the two are best buddies again. However, US is a different beast in comparison.
Only reality you need to understand is that Russia does not have military parity with the US and its forces in Syria will be doomed, should the two decide to exchange blows.
You do realize that the ongoing civil war started in Syria in 2011, and Russia waited 3 straight years to make its move due to fear of American intervention and demise of Assad-led regime in Syria (Libya-style?). Russia stepped-up its game in Syria when American policy on Syria became clear to the world at large, that Assad-led regime won't be toppled.
The only reason Assad-led regime has survived so far in Syria is due to American
restraint. However, this might change in the near future. Should US decide to get rid of Syrian regime, no power in the world can stop them. Mark my words.
Please also keep in mind that US have imposed heavy economic sanctions on Russia since 2014 (due to Russian intervention in Ukraine) and Russian economy has suffered a great deal as a consequence (drop from 6th spot to 13th spot in global economic rankings). In this manner, US has ensured that Russia won't find the prospect of a direct military clash with US very encouraging.
Yes, we can expect both the US and Russia to exercise restraint against each other in Syria and/or in another region but Russia has no power over American moves outside its borders. Reality is a bit different from Fanboy fantasies thrown around this forum. I hope you can grasp them.
I am not the fanboy here; I like to call spade a spade.
