PPP considers handing over Sindh Home ministry to MQM

KARACHI: In a recent development for Sindh, it has been disclosed that deliberations are being held for handing over the province’s Home Ministry to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Express News reported on Tuesday.

Names of Raza Haroon and Syed Sardar Ahmed have surfaced for the Sindh home minister portfolio, sources said.

Earlier, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan was removed from his office for ‘reasons other than political’. He, however, refused to accept another portfolio in the provincial cabinet.

Presently, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah holds the post until a suitable replacement can be found.

For the improvement of the law & order in karachi & in sindh, its good to see PPP finaly deciding , what ever it takes.
Its a good deceion , if it is?
That should be the sprit , so solve peoples basic problems, I certainly support even jamat-e -islami if they had the parlimentry representation in Sindh , for the betterment of the law & order situation in karachi & sindh, even at fedral level,but targets must in with their execution plans!

KARACHI (Reuters) - Gunmen on motorcycles opened fire at the offices of a Pakistani television news channel in the southern city of Karachi on Monday, wounding two people, including a security guard, police officials said.

The gunmen fled after the attack, which targeted the building of Urdu-language news channel Aaj TV, police said.

The Pakistan Taliban claimed responsibility for the shooting, and threatened attacks against other television channels that did not feature the Taliban point of view.

"We had informed the management of Aaj TV to include our view on issues, but the channel had become a mouthpiece of the government," Ehsanullah Ehsan, spokesman for the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), told Reuters.

"Geo TV is going to be our next target if they do not change their behaviour towards us. They have been using very bad language against the mujahideen."

Aaj TV officials were not immediately available for comment.

Pakistan is one of the most dangerous countries for news coverage, according to Reporters Without Borders, with 10 journalists killed - most of them murdered - in 2011 because of their work.

although regrettable and sad loss of life and nothing to be proud off it was a one off incident which was largely conspired proven a million times on this forum , also his majesty iffi choudhry never took a motta taza action on it either .... now compare that with every day 12 may incidences in karachi and may be it give you some sense of reality ... also MQM knows every street corner and well conversed with people on top of that largest representative of sindhs cities thus making it the ideal most candidate.

This is every day story and sadly haters like these forget to condemn atrocities such as 27 Dec , which costed khi the largest loss of life , property both public and govt ...

You are free to think what you like reality is otherwise MQM held sindh home ministry for long period of time and people in karachi are witness to that it was a much peaceful era than ever EVER we had since the last 30-35 years ... so please state facts from the past. lastly what made you think that CJ is/was the enemy , i said he never took any actions against the incident ... we have free judiciary dont you think it would have been done by now ??
