Dear Pakistani members, we would like to see your preference. The choice is simple.
Pakistan or Islam.

. . . . .
Hey bro,
I don't know about Pakistani people much. I very much would like to understand their views. Thank you for polling.

Pakistani members pls vote so we can understand you better.
Thanks!

Pakistan is an Islamic state, whose Constitution is based on Islam. Our founding ideologue/poet Allama Iqbal was an Islamic scholar versed in not only Islamic philosophy but Western (English, German) philosophy as well. Our founder Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah expounded the Two Nation Theory which stated that Muslims and Hindus are two different nations, civilizations, historical experiences.

For most Pakistanis, our nation is a successor state to the Muslim rule of Sindh (IVC/Pakistan) and Hind (modern India) of the Delhi Sultanate and Mughal Empire.

Islam and nationality are equally as important to us. Many of us believe that Islam's destiny lies in Pakistan.

Allama Iqbal in his 1930 Allahabad address:

"I, therefore, demand the formation of a consolidated Muslim State in the best interests of [British] India and Islam. For [British] India, it means security and peace resulting from an internal balance of power; for Islam, an opportunity to rid itself of the stamp that Arabian imperialism* was forced to give it, to mobilize its law, its education, its culture, and to bring them into closer contact with its own original spirit and with the spirit of modern times."

* Here Allama Iqbal refers to the negative influence of the Banu Ummayya, Banu Abbasi dynasties

Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah: “Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope other will share with us.”

Most of the Pakistan posters will be in a difficult situation to choose any one of these 2 items..Because, i believe, Pakistan and Islam are considered with equal importance to each other..

Yea, I guess so too. But it seems like there are few who does place their country before religion according to the poll.
Which of course is a minority. :D

What if a Muslim country which is anti Pakistan and a non Muslim country who supports Pakistan, who Pakistanis believe is their enemy?

Prophet Muhammad saws had many Non-Muslim allies during war and peace times, including Pagans, Jews, and Christians. The final decisive victory over Makkah happened when Pagan Quraish attacked a Pagan tribe allied to Prophet Muhammad saws and Madina.

We are not forbidden to be allies and friends of Non-Muslims, as long as they don’t chase Muslims from their homes, do not let them practice Islam, or do injustice in the Earth (to Muslims or Non-Muslims.) This is from the Quran.

A ‘Muslim’ state which is against Pakistan (and Kashmiris), Turkey, Iran, or other Muslim nations would be considered a Munafiq or Murtad nation or people by Most Pakistanis. This is because shedding the blood of another Muslim (or any innocent) is forbidden, because it is an act which makes one leave Islam.

Munafiq means hypocrite, but in Islam it means the worst kind of a disbeliever, which is the one who pretends to be a believer.

Murtad means apostate, the one who has left Islam.

For example, Most Pakistanis (and Kashmiris) would consider those Indian and Bangladeshi ‘Muslims’ who are against Pakistan or Kashmiris (and supporting Hindus) as political and religious murtads or munafiqs.

I don’t see the point of putting islam first. I know no matter what only in Pakistan I would feel at home among my own. Good luck doing that in any other country in the name of Islam.

So Pakistanis feel the responsibilities for all the Muslims around the world? Be them central Asians, East Asians, Africans?
