PakPositivism: How to manage Discourse for PakPosters on PDF!!!

We have now some Contours of a Composite regarding The EndGame of IndianState. A good start!

It is imperative that we don't discuss or bring in the good Indians i.e. their unique culture, ethos or psyche...

Simply, that is distractive and opens up the pathways for derailment... and then the obvious consequence... Paks get distracted from the SubjectMatter and focus on non-essential.

However, it is also equally important now that we try to see things from the Perspective of IndianState!

Keeping in mind the General Composite of its EndGame...

Why does IndianState do what it does?

Quite frankly, it takes enormus effort and money to keep the Region entangled in Hybridwar onslaught... in some cases as in SouthAsia ... from buying politicos and buabucracy in these countreis to developing assets within their armed forces and keeping their plams greased.... to Kabulistan ...

Operation Swift Retort (IRP) and Operation Ladakh Freedom (PRC) have demonstrated that there is deep disconnect between actual IndianState capabilities in OvertAction and its proclaimations.

This is in itself is something to worry about and not rejoice...

Since, it puts enormus pressure on the IndianState to recapture its lost image and well crafted/promoted persona of GreatRegional/Global Power.

A 'GreatPower' that cann't even shape its neighbourhood to its advantage cann't influnces its second layer of periphery.

Therefore, the immense Pressure on IndianState to re-establish some semblace of being a Regional Hegemon, beyond its media's conditioning/reassuring of its captive internal audience, needs to be understood dispassionately and only then a counter-strategy can be formed to contain it.

Within a span of 1.3yrs the Credibility of IndianState as EmergingGreatPower or Regional Hegemon has taken serious hit.

This should be a matter of concern to PakState!

For now it is immaterial for the Scope of our discussion .. the actuality of the claim to be a SuperPower... discussing it will devolve into standard reactions. Immaterial.

The developing Composite cann't be complete without bringing the IoJK, a trilateral dispute among three NuclearArmedNations.

IoJK could have been solved in such a way that none of the Three would have to loose face and move forward to integerated Regional Development... but Why it is NOT resloved?

What is the Compulsion of IndianState to keep PakKashmiris in such horrible state and for decades, ever increasing brutality, WarCrimes, CrimesAgainstHumantiy...?

It must be noted that to keep IoJK i.e. PakKashmiris Oppression under wraps has costed IndianState alot of MONEY.

All those various weapon systems bought from West and especially the Veto holders ... comes at a cost of $Blns!!!

Deployment of almost a million armed troops in IoJK to Suppress PakKashmiris costs billions annually to IndianState with no end in sight!

An RationalActor would have sought to devise a Win-Win-Win Outcome..and by doing so be liberated from the Chains of Confinement only to dusty plains .... being bogged down and never be able to focus on Second Layer Periphery of IndianState.

Genocide of Muslims
of MaqboozaJammu to the ongoing Genocide and EthinicCleansing of PakKashmiris in IoJK ... what does it tell us? From IndianState perspective that is!

And now the PRC has become part of SouthAsia for all practical purposes.

Of course, this is historic in nature and even further shrinks IndianState's remaining influence within SouthAsianSphere ... which the IndianState has always treated as its backyard...
This, obviously, compels IndianState to join Quad or any Anti-ChinaCamp... if we try to see it from IndianState perspective with studied detachment.

We need to understand ExistentialAngst of IndianState as it 'surrounded' by Two NucluearArmed Allies ... and its increasing dependence on the US led AntiChinaParty.

It joining of Anti-China Camp requires a bigger ton of felsh than the pound of flesh that IndianState gave for its Anti-Pak efforts.

And now Iran has realised that IndianState is far more restrictive in its freedom of policy-formation and action... hence, the obvious Conclusion by the asstute Persians to make TheDeal with The Dragon.

This is the Price that IndianState has paid ...economic, gestrategic and Qoutient-of-Future-Influence!

Both Swift Retort and Ladakh Freedom were/are StateCredibility Operations!

IndianState made the first moves in both cases ...thus forcing Pak and now China to Establish their State-Credibility.

In both cases IndianState backed-off and resorted to IndianState controlled Media to churn-out narratives that sooth the Highly Conditioned Nationalistic IndianPublic.

In a nutshell The Indian Comprehensive National Strength has been exposed, leading to hurried alliance with the US led AngloWorld.

Will these IndianStatePolicies enhance its prestige?

Will these policies alleviate the ExistentialAngst?

From voting against Iran to voting against SDR IndianState has now fully dowtailed its polices to the US Architecture... why not!

But the price is also steep... IndianState cann't be seen now fully Independent in its regional or para-regional actions/policies.

Mr. Modi can make great speeches after Swift Retort or now one speech in Leh... but the IndianState's Credibility on the Ground is NOT restored...

The Longer the 'Stand-off' last the more the loss of Credibility for IndianState... becuase those smaller state in SouthAsia don't have to be scared of India...since, PRC is now the fully active Neighbour!

Instead of much dreaded String-of-Pearls it is now Boulders of GreatWall surrounding IndianState... it will certainly add to Deepening of ExistentialAngst for the IndianState.

Once again to better understand the Thinking/Compulsion/Action of the IndianState we need to see things from IndainPerspective as STATE.

There are two Fundamental Options for the IndianState to regain Credibility:

  1. Militarily engage the PLA and push it back, thus establishing a far greater Credibility in the Region and Beyond

  2. Go much more deeper in the Rabbit Hole of the Quad and fully align policies with the US...i.e. play the long game and if the US wins then IndianState can reap massive rewards.

Attacking Pakistan could be an option but outcome is uncertain ... if IndianState fails to change the facts on the ground... it will be even more loss of its receeding Credibility as Regional Power.

Terrorism peaking in Pakistan or activating the RAW assets in Karachi/Sindh... are more signs of desperation than conduct of a Credible Great Power.

What other Counter-Intuitive Strategies can IndianState adopt/implement to regain its lost Credibility?

After we can Consolidate the Composite of IndianState only then we can being to formulate Pak's Response.

We can try, for once, to be systematic in this effort!

Pakistan must do everything to avoid sucked into IndianState's Desperation
... and in case of IndianArmedAttack ... Pakistan must retaliate with Clarity and not paralysis.

The Pak Counter Strike should be of such lethalitiy that it could give the besieged IndianState a deep pause before even thinking about climbing the next step on the EscalationLadder.

Credibility is very difficult to gain and easy to loose... and to regain it is walk through Hell!

PS. Hopefully, we Paks can discuss this in peace and among ourselves. But then, it is what it is!

India lost credibility twice recently. Once on Feb 27, the other is now on Ladakh. Nepal dare not to publish the map with disputed area before, but now she can.
Let's see what Bangladesh will get in coming month.
Can Bhutan sign border treaty with China now?
How will Sri Lanka react?

Exactly, the point put forward.

You are correct about Nepal and they have now a neighbour, PRC, to rely on when the IndianState tried to put pressure on it ..as in the case of Blockade of Nepal in harsh winter.

Bhutan after Doklam has been revisiting its Cost-Benefit Ratio as being the IndianOccupied for alll practical purposes ... with IndianTraders extracting huge profits from them... so naturaly, a Comprehensive Partnership and Peace Treaty with China will assure Sovereignity to Buhtan and enssure its territorial integerity as well without being an IndianOccupied state.

PMIK has phoned Hasina PMBD to develop and enhance ties
... this in itself is fundamental policy statement from Pakistan...if you know the historical context.

SL has now adopted a 'friendly' posture for the sake of stable internal issues...which IndianState can heat up... so understandable.

Maladives doesnt count much as power-balancer... more of cosmetic support... as in OIC.

Though the question still remains:

How can IndianState re-establish its LostCredibility?

We need to try to undertand the IndianState and not be distracted by the good Indians!

Statecraft in 21st Century!

Do write.

Sorry, yaar did not have enough time for a lengthy interaction, so thought better to reply when I'm able to respond timely.

Earlier, someone had asked me not to carry this aspect of our discussion on this thread.
In case they read it, just informing you, that we started our discussion here so I'm just bringing it to a conclusion, I won't carry it further in this thread.

Ok, I really would love to discuss my personal experiences with you but, not here, for one, I don't fancy sharing my personal life online, but I've enjoyed my interactions with a few people here, including you. And, from what I have seen, it has the potential to turn into a dramafest, I can live without that.

As I mentioned before I am not familiar with online forums as yet. Is there a way where we can communicate privately or I can send an email from a secondary email address for sake of conclusion. Thanks

.
Mangus, I won't have time to contribute till next week, may do before, a couple of things I disagree with, not with your conclusions but the weightage that is being applied to certain things.

Below is 3 hours long, but it is pure gold, one of the most reasoned and logical discussions I've seen from the Pakistan side for a long time. It is not one long discussion but 2 different discussions of over an hour long each.
Everyone, please watch if you wish to enhance your argumentative knowledge. Especially from Pakistan's perspective.

To be PakPositive, we need to avoid the '9 types' ... these suck the energy out, leaving little left behind for positive growth.

And all 9 perfectly fit the Indians ...

1. Slacker
2. Leach
3. Manipulator
4. Envious
5. Victim
6. Narcissist
7. Liar
8. Temperamental
9. Dementor

No, no longer. And I think that is as it should be. Pakistan exists because 220 million Pakistanis wish it to exist, not for a single other reason. Pakistan has evolved, and so has India. We share certain things in common, but these are two different countries, and has evolved two different kinds of citizenry.

The person in this entire forum who has understood is @Indus Pakistan. Some of those on display in this thread are truly dreadful failures in figuring this out. Dreadful.

I said it with the results in mind.
Hello Joe, I am in Pakistan on a historical tour following the route of Alexander the Great. Of course we don't know the precise route but I am trying to following what is a guesstimate. Today and Monday i am in a hotel near Jhelum River [Hydaspes] and just sizing up the probable location of battle between Porus and Alexander. I am accompanied by some family members. Despite having been brought up in a different world I fit with them like glove on hand.

I have already covered Khyber Pass, Chitral Valley dpwn to Hund, Attock bridge, Taxila, Sirkap, Islamabad. Over the badly dissected Potohar plateau and right now dropped into the plains of Punjab with River Jhelum in full flood. I will go onto Lahore then might decide to follow south to Multan. I have been advised to not go into Sind or Karachi. Not that I particularly wanted to go there but a walk on the shores of Arabian Sea would have been a nice ending to this trip down history. I might try however to make a visit to Gwadar if I can be assured of security. I do have relative who is senior officer in FIA. My advise for Karachi came from another senior officer in Rangers who is posted in Karachi.

Regards to all.

Ps. I had a coll looking Shalwar Kameez sown so I could walk around without attention. Just cost Rs 600 to get done. That is what I call a good deal. With Rupee having slipped for us Pakistan is just one big good deal. Cheap, cheap and cheap. Anything can be had as long as you got the Rs.

I hope will have to take a break from my tour in few days as Eid is almost here and will be required to go back to my village. Or I will be shot for being AWOL. It is a strange feeling being met and hugged by strangers who know my grandad and in one case even my great-grandad. My highlight of this visit was meeting my 100 year plus grandmother. When I get back to UK I will post pictures. Internet connection in hotel is bit slow.

@Mangus Ortus Novem Sorry for having scared your thread. Do forgive.

What a fascinating trip!

Incidentally, a coincidence - my father was the only non-academician to be invited to contribute to the legendary Sushobhan Sarkar's festschrift, having been one of the old man's favourite pupils. Guess what he wrote on?

The Battle of the Hydaspes, and the possible outcome of the battle NOT having been what the Greek and Roman historians said it had been.

He first presented this paper (or its less polished predecessor) in the late 60s, with a very amused but non-committal R. C. Majumdar in the audience.

When I get back to UK I will post pictures

Looking forward to this.

Stay safe and continue to enjoy your trip. Some people have all the luck. Hope the business part is also going well.

Qurbani ....

When we look back... from 1857 to 1947... the Rivers of PakBlood ... We tied to the ImperialBritish cannons or crossing over to the ImperialBritish drawn borders... PakBlood.

Wasn't it the PakPositivism that made us all offer the Qurbani even 90yrs before we could have Home to be called Pakistan?

The Idea of Pakistan was taking Shape for a much longer time than the Form it took in the 30s n 40s...

Indeed, we have behaved like the Children of Israel when they were Delivered from EgyptianSlavery... perhaps a very Shocking comparison... however, a necessary parallel.

Even on this nano-cosmos of PDF we waste energies on distractions, baits, derailments...instead of having Focused, Structured Discourse among ourselves, The Paks!

Our Elders did have Focus.

Ittihad. Iman. Tanzeem.

Do we have these Qualities as OurFather, Quaid e Azam R.A. told us to exercise?

Quaid e Azam R.A. House is under flood water. In a way... it is a Symbol of Our betrayal and lack of Sense of Purpose!

Shame! Shame! Shame!

We can lement and flogg ourselves.. OR we can Own our shortcomings and mistakes...

This can only happen if we can have a Sense of Ourselves... and this only begins or emerges when PakState Can Clearly Define Itself and then Exercise Sense of Itself.

Why do we exist?

Why do we have given Qurbani for Pakistan?

As the world goes into a Era of Struggle... are we just passively offer PakBlood once again and be acted upon?

Without Clarity neither Individual nor State can Act with Certainty...

The present conditions are the product of a long process of having NO Sense of Ourselves... because we have a Hole in OurSouls... and only We can Fill that hole!

We lack neither intellectual nor physical capacities to become what we are to be!

As long as Pakistan remains a Colony of the CriminalEnterprise ... PakPositiveNationalism shall never take Form.

Can we, here on PDF, among ourselves..have the Tanzeem to do our part...knowing full well that we don't hold any power to affect things on the ground... but at least we can, together, have Clarity!

Eid Mubarak Mangus and everyone else

Sorry yaar, a bit busy these days for a detailed discussion.

My view has no value on its own, but the truth speaks for itself,
Identity and ownership first and foremost belong to the people residing in the land through generations and through their bloodlines.

Therefore, the idea of Pakistan started when human civilisations began, and with the Indus Valley Civilisation, when we lived as a single-family.

Before we were Punjabi, Balochi, Sindi, Pathan, Saraiki, Kashmiri and other identities we have adopted,
WE WERE THE PEOPLE OF THE INDUS, we lived as a single nation, Islam has renewed and cemented our sense of singular nationhood that had weakened through our history.

Completely endorse this viewpoint. Islam coming to the IVC was a natural societal evolution, one that did not reach our gangetic neighbours. Islam and pre-Islam are two sides of the same coin. Gangetics think Pakistanis are "ashamed" of our own history. In fact, we're ashamed of our neighbours.
