Pakistan's Loss: A Disaster or a Blessing

Gentlemen, move on, both nations are happy what they achieved; it is win-win situation for both.
Don’t let past to be hurdle for future, it will only hurt each other. Good wishes to Bangladesh. Prosperous and developed Bangladesh (Ameen).

While Islamabad is nice, I can't fathom how a planned capital city akin to Washington D.C. (albeit at a smaller scale) help the economy of Pakistan other than a few elite group of people? In my mind all it would be is a place where the elite would sequester themselves from the real situation of the populace....
Islamabad is a place, poor and middle class Pakistani can't afford to live.It is a showpiece city off limit of average Pakistani people.I would have felt shame if any such city existed in Bangladesh.
Islamabad — a city only for the rich?

:-) It's a little strange about talk of elitism coming from a South Asian nation.

Really now. :-)

Regarding sports cars, they are popular. In spite of 800% duty.

We are getting a little OT in here though. Last post on this topic...

He made some good points. Imagine half dozen million of "illegal Pakistanis" working like slaves at homes of Indians.

The old Pakistan was an artificial entity that had outlasted it's usefulness well before 1971.

The only tragic thing about the separation was that it was not peaceful.

While Pakistan is a tribal culture, BD is a unitary state where the state comes before anything else.

Current BD GDP/capita growth of 6% per annum when compared to 3% for Pakistan should tell everyone how much better off BD is without having Pakistan.

Hmm Pakistan GDP growth rate is near 5%, not 3%.

MM Alam was Bihari.
You can't call him Bihari,His parent was Bihari but migrated to Calcutta.MM Alam was born there and spoke fluent Bangla. After partition he moved to East Bengal, remain here up until 1971.Then he moved west Pakistan.Anyone who born in Bengal and speak Bangla is Bengali. So you can call him Pakistani with Bengali heritage.

Really? So If a Pakistani is born in Bengal he's bangali or Bangladeshi?

Ironic how even Biharis born in Bangladesh after 71 are treated so inhumanely.

Heck you people don't even help your rohingya kin yet you want to associate yourself with a Pakistani patriot and a war hero whose family once lived in east Pakistan?

How about the Pakistani member Shaheen missile, whose grandfather and uncles lived in east Pak and yet were butchered by mukti terrorists?

Bihar and Bengal are close neighboring state.Like Scotland and England. If a Scottish couple move to England, give birth a child who speak English and grow up in England, will not be he English by nationality?Same case with MM Alam.Resident of close neighboring state like Bihari and Bengali, these term have only meaning as a language, culture and resident place. If a bihari move to Bengal, adopt Bangla language and culture then He is Bengali as there is no perceptible ethnic/racial difference. It would be more difficult of a person who have different ethnic/racial background than bengali like European,Chinese etc. They may have to blend several generation to become indistinguishable from Bengali.

BD will beat you hands down when it comes to rickshaw.
Human hauled vehicles are the main hindrance for the growth of motorized vehicles. There are almost no privately owned cars except motor cycle outside Dhaka and Chittagong. its a big Zero..................

Where did you get this bullsht data? Who count the number of elite? Your poverty percentage is wrong and outdated.Only reliable poverty measurement is 1.90 dollar international poverty thresh hold.In 2010,the most recent we can compare between Pakistan and Bangladesh, population below poverty line was-
Bangladesh-18.5% (2010)
Pakistan-8.3% (2010)
http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SI.POV.DDAY?locations=BD
http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SI.POV.DDAY?end=2013&locations=PK&start=1987
This gap narrowed farther in the last 7 years as BD's GDP grown quicker than Pakistan. So there is very little difference now between BD and Pakistan.

please read your own site first then talk you people are just big troll
the site you give which state BD 18.5%2010 compare to pakistan 6.1% in 2013 according to the site there should be no poverty in pakistan till now cause
1987 pakistan poverty in about 62% compare to 1983 38% of BD
now 2013 pakistan poverty is 6.1%(compare the gap) comnpare to 2010 18%

so there should be no poverty in pakistan as pakistan have filled a large gap compare to BD and mega project like CPEC are running

i use https://www.adb.org/countries/bangladesh/poverty and https://www.adb.org/countries/pakistan/poverty

even the site you are sending are saying pakistan is better

I am talking about GDP capita and not GDP growth.

Take away 2.1% of population growth and Pakistan GDP/capita growth is 3% a year.
