Pakistan - Turkey (PAC-TAI) Collaboration for NGFA-TFX 5th Gen Aircraft l Updates, News & Discussion

Scale model behind the tv-program host. So current MMU that's currently under development.

Well, only since this TV still shows the Hürjet, the MMU/TFX, the new attack helicopter and - i forgot its name - I don‘t think we can conclude they are for Pakistan.

Let’s wait …

I didnt wrote that these shown aircrafts are for Pakistan. The statements I shared in the thread is that jobs will also be created in Pakistan under the MMU program. And I don't know if this will happen directly, but at this stage, indirectly, the benefits that MMU development program can provide many things in the next generation fighter studies in Pakistan aviation.

I watched most of the program, btw... It was more like an interview about TAI's activities and infrastructure investments, moderated by Güntay Şimşek, an aviation journalist, and Küpra Par, Habertürk program host. Quite good questions asked, in a way that is not often seen in mainstream media. We learned some new details. I have shared just one thing because Pakistan mentioned, and I found it remarkable, otherwise there are many more notes that can be taken from the program. Kotil is an academic and likes to explain topics through models or charts. For this reason, he comes to interviews and press conferences either with models or with lots of charts and video examples. Let me write about the models I saw in the program one by one:

-ANKA-III and ATAK-II. Both will make their first flight in April (next week). The news of this was given this evening.
-The target for the Hürjet is the second quarter of 2023. Probably in this month. TAI vice chair and manager of production planning reported that all tests for the aircraft's maiden flight have been completed and they waiting for for the ceremony, just a couple days ago.
-The first flight schedule for the MMU is the 4th quarter.
-TS-1400 integration, the last step in the T-625, has started. The transmission and rotor are already indigenous. This helicopter has received orders from Malaysia and Turkey. The variant with the LHTEC engine has already largely completed the civil aviation certification process.
-The other mock-up, the ATAK-I-T129, is already being exported to Nigeria and the Philippines. According to Kotil, the contract with Pakistan has also not been canceled and is in force. Apart from this, there is one more country in the process of signing an agreement.
-The Hurkuş is the other system being actively exported. Deliveries are ongoing. The composite Hurkuş-2 is being put on the production line, and tests have been completed.
-Göktürk-II, advanced earth observation and intelligence satellite, is on active duty, and Göktürk-Y project activities are ongoing. Turksat 6A is ready, tests have been completed and will be launched by SpaceX this year. The Next Generation Electric Communication Satellite (Small GEO) was exported to Argentina, and an agreement is about to be signed with a second country. The first Small GEO will be delivered at the end of this year.

In other words, the systems represented by the mock-ups brought to the TV studio are either already in production or will make their first flight in 2023, or the preparations for mass production will be completed within the year. The only exception is the naval helicopter in the Medium-Lift class. That project will be two years behind. Except for this helicopter, all the other modeled airplanes and satellites are already tangible.

In the explanations of situation and latest developments about these aerospace programs: Pakistan's name was mentioned in the ATAK-I, MMU topics. And I think I have quoted them all in my last messages in this thread.

I know and I highly appreciate your inpiút, as such my reply was not correctly addressed to you, but especilally the final sentence more aimed towards later replies like this one!

Sorry for this not clear post.

This is huge and basically confirmation that Pakistan wil be first foreign buyer of the aircraft.
Independent contractors, or government?

Statement means nothing of the government isn't involved.

Also what would they be contributing/learning? That matters a lot as well.

It is no secret that PAF is interested in the MMU and that TA is pushing very hard to make that deal too. TA is trying to sweeten the deal by offering workshare for various things. However, Pakistan suffers from
1. Painfully slow bureaucracy - the PAF regularly annoys the crap out of TA
2. Overpromising and underdelivering
3. No monies lol
So let's see if TA's desire to bring MMU to the PAF is strong enough to overcome the factors above.

Map showing how Pakistan 🇵🇰 is part of Turkish Aerospace R&D Ecosystem with over 240 Engineers contributing in Aerospace and Software fields.

Most of this R&D involves the technologies related to TFX Program and that is what makes the prospects of TFX induction in PAF positive.

Is it recent or were they working with them for quite some time? Also when ready for induction how will PAF finance its purchase given FX crunch.

A great development. Pak has tons of combinations and permutations to play with as far as TFX is concerned. The Chinese J-20's engines and PL-15s are good options. Turkey's own ramjet based GOKHAN BVR missiles are getting ready too along with quantum radars. Not to mention Pak's own air launched cruise missiles and other SOMs for both ground and naval targets. Couple it with the stealthy Kizilelma (A2A/EW) and ANKA-3 (A2G/EW) in loyal wingmen roles, and you have a 6th gen combo to tackle any enemies under any conditions....

What the PAF thinks and executes today makes the IAF (I ALWAYS FAIL) act in desperation ("if there were Rafales") tomorrow....

This is another Islamic Value tried to be implemented in our SOE whose assets are more than half our country GDP (2021 calculation).

webinar-setahun-akhlak.jpg
When I came across those core values, I saw an actual evolution of social values, unlike in Pakistan where the imported values are just pushed down our throat. It shows Indonesia as a society is innovating, not just promoting buzzwords.
Really happy for you guys. Wish you all the success.
