Pakistan tour of West Indies 2017

Where is Muhammad Amir in T20 series. His performance was also very good in PSL and also in previous series with England. I am very upset due to his unavailability.

West Indies restricts Pakistan at 132 runs in second match of T20 International series

The West Indies restricted Pakistan at 132 runs in the second of a four-match T20 International series at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad on Thursday.

West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite won the toss and put Pakistan in to bat.

The West Indies have retained the same eleven that suffered a six-wicket defeat - their fourth consecutive T20 loss to the Pakistanis - in the opening match in Bridgetown.

They are seeking a series-levelling victory ahead of the final two matches at the same venue at the weekend.

Pakistan introduced newcomer Fakhar Zaman following the outstanding debut performance in Barbados of leg-spinner Shadab Khan, who took the Man of the Match award with figures of three for seven.

The 26-year-old left-handed batsman and occasional left-arm spinner is getting his first taste of senior international action at the expense of Mohammad Hafeez.

A day of collisions at the Queen's Park Oval

Shadab uses Newton's first law

Evin Lewis pushed a length ball towards Imad at mid-on, and although he set off from the back foot, it seemed the single didn't involve much trouble. Wasim picked up cleanly and under-armed a direct hit at the bowler's end. But more work was done by Shadab Khan from mid-off, who somehow managed to get in Lewis' way. Lewis veered away to avoid a collision, but so did Shadab. Both players eventually rammed into each other. Lewis lost control of his bat and didn't get either of his feet back in the crease when Imad's throw made contact with the stumps.

The nastiest collision

The Queen's Park Oval witnessed three collisions in a bizarre sequence of events in the second innings. Nine balls after the collision between Shadab and Lewis, Chadwick Walton rammed into Tanvir. In the same over, Shehzad collided with Walton and had to be stretchered off the field in an ambulance. Samuels had dabbed the ball in front of point, from where Shehzad ran in to attack the ball, but lost his balance. His neck crashed into the knees of Walton. Seven overs later, however, Shehzad returned to the field.

Captain Carlos shows the way

On a day when West Indies' fielding was close to its worst, Carlos Brathwaite was at his best. He seemed peeved watching his team-mates shell catches, miss run-out chances and embarrassingly fall over the ball. Evin Lewis, Jason Holder, Rovman Powell were all guilty. The West Indies captain decided to take things in his hands to show his boys how it's done. When Imad Wasim carved Kesrick Williams in the air in the 17th over, Brathwaite tore back from mid-off, then dived full length to his right to pluck the ball with both hands. That he maintained his stability despite landing on his knees made the catch even special.

Captain Sarfraz mentors Shadab to success

Shadab Khan stormed through Walton's gate with a fizzing googly. But his next googly - short on the leg stump - did not go down well with his captain Sarfraz Ahmed. After Marlon Samuels nailed that errant googly to the square-leg boundary, Sarfraz yelled: "Nahin yaar, mana kar raha hun main" [no, I'm telling you not to]. Shadab soon sent down a regulation legbreak to beat Kieron Pollard in the air and have him stumped.

Great to see the young Shahdab performing so well. This is the benefit PSL will bring to our cricketing setup. Young blood that has the chance to prove itself at international quality and high intensity games, on which basis selectors can then pick them.

Excellent game yesterday. Sarfaraz shows his class in captaincy and held on to his nerve till last moment. Full credit to Hasan Ali for keeping his calm bowling that last over, specially after being hit for two boundaries on first two deliveries. Also have to mention that all important last partnership between Wahab Riaz and Shahdab that gave us the all important decent target to bowl at.

However, the man to steal the show was none other that same young kid!! Shadab Khan have announced himself at the international stage with 7 wickets already in two matches. He was very very energetic, stood up to some sledging by Samuels and replied in the best possible way by taking the all important wicket of Samuels of his last ball, who was his 4th victim for the day.

Great going Pakistani team, keep it up and finish it off.
Sarfaraz will surely be all pumped up for the next encounter as well, such is his nature and the fact that he is on a 6 match undefeated streak with 100% win record will help as well.

Best of luck for the next game.

I don't know what was the reason of PCB adding Kamran Akmal again in the national team. Don't we have two Wicket keepers now.

Shadab Khan shows his good effort in the match and in first match he got a achievement that he had taken 3 wickets by only giving 7 runs. I got a news that Shadab Khan is signed to play IPL as a player of Kolkata Knight Riders . Shahruk Khan has signed him for his team after watching the PSL 2k17. We are proud that first Muslim player of Pakistan is appointed to play IPL .

No Pakistanis in IPL, unfortunately.

This is precisely why Yasir Shah hasn't been effective yet that he promised to be. He just doesn't have a good googly like this kid Shadab Khan has it. A googly is an ultimate weapon for any leg spinner but unfortunately Yasir has not developed a good one yet. Anyways WI sucks while playing spinners so Nawaz will be a better choice in place of Tanvir or Hassan in the next match.

As far as Yasir Shah is concerned, if he develops a lethal googly than he is unstoppable.

When you enter the international scene, there is a novelty about you and you perform well until the other side catches up to you. nowadays video sessions are the key in figuring out your strengths. It happened to Saqlain with his doosra, it happened to yasir with his flipper and it will ultimately happen to shadab. A bowler must have 2 stock balls so that he can rotate the use. That's why Warne was so successful and so was qadir. Shadab must improve his flipper to be effective down the road and yasir his googly and control.
