Pakistan to induct S400 and Pantsir-S1 SAM and Igla-S ManPAD Systems for Air Defence

We are buying 8 Submarines for 5 Billion Dollars so yes we can afford these beasts also
Russians would ask for hard cash unlike chinese. Given that foreign exchange is not that high would pakistan take the risk of spending that much amount of money.

We already got MI-35 already testing AK-100 series and Russia offered us MI-28 and its Air Defense systems way back in 2014 IDEAS. Their delegation even briefed our than Military Leadership your denial is amusing at best.

I love it how Indians like to pass verdicts from their keyboards on what we will and wont get, seems like wet teenage nerdy boys fantasising about hot dates when the prom queen asks them to run along n get her a coffee:taz:, we will get anythimg n everthing we require for our defence and believe me money is never a problem when we go for high end equipment absolitely necessary for our survivial.....There is no democratic nor beaurocratic red tape here concerning defence aquisition...

Sharing my thoughts in a "what if" context :)

In case you missed,

The truth which cannot be denied here is that this coming from an army exhibition cannot should not and WILL NOT be discarded as those Su35 rumors or even the S400 rumors from the past. This have much more significance and all we can do is look forward to the developments in this matter. :)

The plus about Igla-S is its night time operability using NV however it uses IR based system, not laser guidance such as RBS-70.

The plus about Pantsir S-1 is countering the threat of CBU-105 used by IAF. Pakistani Armoured formations can operate in Indian territory with this AD cover.

Induction of Mi-35 probably was just to get into the Russian market and see what else can be offered.

Currently, Army Air Defence has a well-known requirement of a mobile SR-SAM. In 2015, MBDA proposed Spada 2000 to the Army. Pantsir-S1 has similar range.

Pakistan is also negotiating purchase of CASIC's FD-2000 LR-SAM. In this regard, a number of meetings have taken place between Pakistani officials and CPMIEC (the marketing arm of CASIC).

Some speculated that Army was negotiating for more LY-80 MR-SAM systems. It must be noted, however, that LY-80 is a CASC product and is marketed by ALIT.
