@beijingwalker what's in there ? .. specs

No new news. I'm actually trying to recall if there was a steel-cutting ceremony for the first ship in China, but can't. It makes me wonder if they've gone back for a redesign or something (especially as CSIC started proposing single-hull designs).

why Single hull design aren't double hull design is standard and preferable ??

Submarine building is the top secret in China.
No informations are quite normal.
True but the PN could have said via the MoDP that production started, even without disclosing the location or specific completion dates. But it didn't.

Type 54 is an awesome ship packing a big punch. Face off of Kolkata class with Type 54 shall be very interesting.

It is the code name for a newly-builded ship in the shipyard.

Therefore, H1818A should stand for one of Type 054A/Ps.

Besides, two Type 054A/Ps are said to be taking shape, but there are still no photos...

Media reports have mentioned that PN's Type 054 A/P and Milgem frigates will have 32 and 16 VLS cells respectively, for HQ-16 (LY-80N) missiles. AFAIK, the same VLS can fire the ET-80 rocket assisted anti-submarine torpedo as well.

Is that possible for the SD-10A (SAM version)? Is SD-10A quad-packable?
