Featured Pakistan Navy Type 054AP Frigates - Update, News & Discussion

.
Steel for the second unit was cut last year

HD and HP between then launched 30 of these units within a roughly 10 year period

Average build rate is 2/3 per year

If only HD is building the Pakistani units then within 2 years they can get all 4 units in the water

That is not the deal however as KSEW is also going to build

So my bet is that 1st is very close to launch definitely this year maybe even 2

Chinese coast guard got a ship based on Type 054 Hull that is done Pakistani ships must be priority

.
And the Indian media was boasting that PN could not send their ship to the PLAN review while IN did. This better and more useful then sending a ship. Our ships are doing what they should be doing.

. .
I am expecting first Type 54 A will be delivered max by the end of current year.
Contract was done in 2017 and second ship was started in 2018.
All will be handed over by 2021.

Firstly, this is an extremely favourable deal for both countries. A true win-win.

PNS at the moment, even with its limited assets, is an extremely potent defensive force.

After the materialisation of this program PNS shall be the second most potent naval force in Afro-Asian Ocean.

At this very moment our engineers and technicians are in China learning and building subs and ships together with their Chinese colleagues.

We need to look at this program through JF paradigm. After Zulfiqar class we began building our new missileboats which are turning out to be much more than missile boats!

With the help and assisstance of China we are upgrading not only our naval assets but also our capabilities to produce modern platforms ourselves. Both surface and subsurface.

Same as in the case of PAC is now heading towards designing AZF/NGF we shall be moving towards same level of capability in naval design. We must!!!

This NO money can buy. This is where Strategic Relationship comes in.

We need to look things from a broader perspective and larger context...

As Indians have become junior partner in IndoPacific doctorine... PNS's role become more vital for safeguarding Eurasian paradigm since PNS is the resident naval force in Afro-Asian Ocean Region.

After these PNS platforms become operational, surface and subsurface, the net potency of INS will be drastically affected thus allowing Eurasian Axis to have more space.

Looking carefully we cann't miss how China has been helping Pakistan on so many fronts... UNSC to FATF to economic bailout... if people forgot ...does anyone know how many billions China quietly deposited in SBP thus far to avoid default by Pak? And how it helped contain inflation?

A new FTA that IK signed just last week....

CPEC is not just a road or a port. CPEC is a Paradigm, a Framework.

I hope, my most sincere wish is, that Pak State learns from China about planning, execution and management.. in all areas... especially Statecraft!

PRC shall be granting about $1Bln for social uplift...luckily Balochistan will be benefiting from it most. Help in agro sector is coming shortly, same a foodprocessing. We can begin to see Chinese Model with Pak Characteristics in socio-economic development.

(We need also to learn from Chiense mistakes... we need to plant at leat 50 bln trees... Pak is a big country)

So, yeah, it is not about money. The relationship is strategic. And like all strategic relationships its based on National Interests of PRC and IRP.

A strong and prosperous Pakistan with entrenched Chinese interests is in the National Interests of China!

KKH, HIT, JF, SD10, PL15...on and on list goes....

Now why is strong and prosperous Pakistan in the National Interests of China is another story, for another time.

Wouldn't it be clever for the fanning diehards to avoid Red on Green contesting and focus more on Red&Green Paradigm without behaving supernationalist Red or superproud Green?

Context:

China is already an economic superpower with increasing sophistication in defence, science and technology.

Pakistan is a regional power suffering from low HDI, #EconomicTerrorism and political unstability.

China and Pakistan are working very closely to operationalise the second phase of CPEC i.e. industrialisation through SEZs.

A win-win paradigm before our eyes....

The middle path is perhaps the best path!

Now you will have liberals saying " China is CoLoNiZiNg Pakistan " without even reading what you've written

Hi,

Off course there is TOT---. You are going to learn to use a better and a larger ship---. Better in sense of technology---weapons---machine---and larger---in sense of size.
Oh, that's what it meant by TOT. (Y) :D

Oh, that's what it meant by TOT. (Y) :D

Hi,

You think that is a small achievement---. You think that technology is transferred in material form only---.

Technology is transferred in utility form as well---. Actually that is the first and the most important phase of TOT---.

Can you learn to use it like its owner---can you learn to use it to compete with its owner---.

Can you learn to use it to better its owner---. Can you learn to use it and utilize it in manner that the owner did not use it or did not mean to use it in that manner---.

When you have reached that phase---a major portion of TOT is completed now---. You came---you saw---you conquered---.

How about the F16---did the americans not transfer technology---. You have operated them successfully---. You have beaten many an american pilots successfully---you have also ended up in designing the JF17 from what you learnt by operating the aircraft---.

This is the most important utility of a weapons system---. 27th feb proved that---. Our neighbor even though it assembles the SU30---had a few shortcomings in operating it---.

So---what part of TOT is the most important part---the utility---that is the primary goal of a weapons system---.
