new anti sub sonar system.

this is exactly my point ..
but i would suggest 2 more F-22p and 2 type 54A for PN to replace old type21

Please buy 3 Type 54A Frigate ... best option for PN :)

Yes, if in price of 4 F-22Ps we can have 3 Type-54As then later is much better option the prior one.

but still, T-54A is Good Choice for PN. anyway good luck to Pakistan Navy :)

indeed but also more expensive.

The other part is the involvement of TOT with F-22P series,we have built one in karachi and will most likely also construct atleast 2 of the 4 in KSEW.

Money? Maybe not available for export? Take your pick.

The F-22Ps were specifically designed according to PN needs. They're cheap, reliable, and potent. They're perfect for PN, which is usually cash strapped.

The F-22P is a general purpose frigate. From what I can tell, it has multiple uses, and has anti-air and anti-sub capabilities.

Dear F-22P is good ship but it is short legged as per threat we face, it will be good force of 8 ships for defensive patrol but for offensive ops they are not good enough because they have limited weapons and endurance (25 days).

We need to integrate VLS on these ships.

True, you just nailed it. PN must have VLS which can carry multiple type of munitions just like western ones.

type 53 was better option boss why stuck in same type we have 4 of them

F-22Ps are upgraded version of Type-53s.

F-22P Frigate is laced with modern missile technology.

The F-22P’s hull contains China’s type 054 frigate’s radar cross-section reduction, which helps prevent detection by radars mounted on other ships, aircraft and anti-ship missiles.

The F-22P’s also carries Echo Type 5 hull-mounted active search and track sonar

The pic you posted is not F-22P which PN operates, below is the pic of F-22P of PN:

Yes, PN must have at least 4 ships in class and capabilities of Type-54A.

The Zulfiquar Class/F-22P are based on the Type 053H3. Its been being discussed since long now that PN has made detailed assessments and in discussions with the Chinese on improvements for a larger F-22P version with vastly improved SAMS and maybe VLS. So the 4 more will be more capable version.

PN does need more surface vessels because of the extended sea territory. Submarines and more frigates both are now equally important.

Why PN want larger version of F-22P when they can have much better Type-54A customized as per their needs, also later is modern hull design then prior one because F-22Ps are based on older Type-53.

Our F-22p's can work as heavy corvette , i am in favor of more F-22p's but not much , Type 54 have good SAM's and advance Sensors and Radar's ... so its good Choice for PN ... but if PN decide to make more F-22 i would suggest make some changes in weapon system and SAM for specific

Pakistani navy is defensive by nature. The only legitimate naval threat Pakistan faces is from the east, and no matter how large a force PN can muster, it will always be severely out gunned. This is why PN is investing so heavily in subs, because it needs them as a deterrent against any hostile action taken by our dear neighbors.

I agree that PN needs better systems, but it's budget is too small and it's role is too narrowly defined. Simply put, it cannot afford to have an offensive capability, if it's defensive capabilities are barely up to par against a far larger force.
