All our disputes with india is over a piece of land that we ourselves call disputed. India dont claim any land beyond Internationally recognised border. This conversation has been had numerous times.

Institutions in Pakistan don't operate based on national interest, professionalism or meritocracy. They operate based on selfish interests of a select few, with parchi culture and a hate for meritocracy.

They suffer from serial incompetency and refusal to actually do their job effectively.

Hence why we are stuck in the position we are in.

If these Afghans are trying to lay claim to Pakistani land, then it would be better to construct a wall along our borders wit Afghanistan instead of a flimsy fence so that these Afghans get the message.

No that will not resolve anything. Create a buffer zone along the border. Like Turkey did in Syria. Populate it with all pashtuuns that have links with Pashtuun tribes on Pakistan side. Govern it with proxies. Let it be the Shock absorber between Afghan BS and Pakistan.
otherwise chicken out and make peace on mutual terms. Stop sending our precious soldiers as cannon fodder on wild goose chase. Just Imagine the number of Jawans and officers we have lost in past 20 years who were below 30 years of age. Thats not sustainable or acceptable.

The Pashtun tribes being split on the border is one of the main reasons of the insurgency to begin with, they are unhappy about it
