The alliance between Pakistan and Iran will be good for the prosperity in the Middle East.

That would be great but Pakistan and Iran need to grow up, as multi-ethnic, mutli-religious, pluralistic countries - right now, these ideas or rather their acceptance in society is in it's infancy - - Plus before Pakistan or Iran are good to each orther or for each other, they must be good for their own people - that is a good foundation, otherwise it will become hypocrisy.

what Pakistan needs to do is emulate Turkiye....a totally independent, and assertive, sophisticated foreign policy. We do have some many bright people in our Foreign Service who should be taken to task.

so you cannot digest a friendship with iran. it is IRAN that gave Gwadar to Pakistan, otherwise oman already sold it to india. IRAN too help suppress the revolt of baloch against pakistan.

we paid Oman a few millions dollars and were given Gwadar.....im not familiar with any Iranian role in that

I would like to see a grand alliance from saudi to iran to afghan pak india and china. Call me naive but its my wish I would have liked to see progress on the iran pakistan and onwards pipeline. I would like all neighbours to care about each other help each other. The pipeline would have encouraged this as we would all benefit. I want the west basically to stop interfering in our region.

Iran we share heritage and culture with, only difference is sunni shia, which can be overcome and not a major difference, alliance with them is better then any arab nation or india.

we have no choice with india because they alighn themselves with the former neo and colonial powers. But saudies we need the people there to get rid of that evil royal family and true representatives of the people there.

Do you people have any idea of how Iranians view Pakistanis? The Iranians are just as narrow-minded and racist as the Arabs when it comes to their opinion of Pakistanis.

^^ what we need is to follow the Foreign policy set by founder of the Nation, Barrister Muhammad Ali Jinnah, that is"We want to have peace with everybody."

Many a nations do tend to take a positive view of Pakistan, lets say if not, what have we done to improve it? did we follow the policy set by Jinnah? or did we became arrogant and undiplomatic in our foreign policy ?

just by analysing relationships with countries from the day of our independence uptil today, you would learn how poor our diplomacy has been... instead of improving, we have deteriorating relations with each of them...

so we need to improve our relations with everybody...

Every had different experience with Iranians and Arabs. Iranians are very nice with Pakistanis.. at least they were with me . Yusuf I don't think Iranians (some of them) r very fond of Balochis though and neither they are fond of Afghans. Many Arabs who r born n raised in USA or at least the ones I met r very nice too... But I have heard horrible stories from some Pakistanis that Arabs treat them badly in Gulf countries. Although, personally I didn't have any bad experience with them.
