I don't think Saudi military have presence in Yemen. At most they are fighting within Saudi territory using missiles or fighter jets, still mostly failed. And their fight shows clearly that you simply cannot win wars just by fancy weapons.

and in that regard, they're not wrong, SK has F-15, F-16 and F-35 providing not just a quantitative but also a generation advantage.

its army is on average better equipped and its navy certainly superior to what pakistan operates.

most of the time people underestimate just how much fire power exists in far east asia. its because those countries exists in a region with us/russia/china which makes everyone else look small. but place SK in, say, the middle east, it would be one of the stronger powers, easily going toe to toe with israel(on paper) and would outright dominate in a place like south america. even taiwan whose military is the butt of many jokes on the mainland and is looking at the prospect of being completely destroyed in the first couple weeks of war with the mainland, is way more heavily armed than most places in south east asia

Saudis are massive snobs. How can they be above PAF when PAF instructors have been training various countries in middle east including Saudis? Best of PAF engineers and pilots are sent to KSA to teach them fly and maintain their aircrafts for them. Obviously PAF is more experienced and battle hardened than KSA. They are used to of luxuries and overly comfortable life styles. You see MBS is even ready to sell Islam and Islamic values for money? As the oil runs out, they are now allowing nudity and concerts in KSA. If they had any guts they would have retained their values.

Try checking the methodology first. This ranking is based on analysis of the following:

1. Manpower
2. Air Power
3. Land Forces
4. Naval Forces
5. Natural Resources
6. Logistics
7. Financials
8. Geography

Number 7 is enough to reduce Pak's rank. When you've got no money, it don't matter if you have nukes. Enemies like Taliban and BLA don't care if you have nukes.

Yes, I am aware that the rogue province had indigenous Ching Kuo fighter program and many indigenous missile programs, as well as independent Naval builds.

Of course - the help of the US defence industry was in no small portion responsible for this as well as the wealth due to export receipts.

Bhai people have very little idea about South Korean defence industry. We in Bangladesh know how far South Korea has come in defence. They built our lead navy ship (Daewoo shipbuilding) and that is just the start.

South Korea's indigenous aerospace, naval and missile industries are in another class. They built part of the iron dome missile defence missiles by themselves (THAAD). South Korean forces are strong for one reason, their neighbors to the North.

They are currently collaborating with Indonesia and building the newer U boats for Indonesia (Chang Bogo class I think). Small but very modern subs. Brother @Indos knows about South Korean defence industry.

Bangladesh SWAD and Special forces train with South Korean marines all the time.
