Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Vice-Director and JF-17 sales & marketing manager interview

Not good b/c

WS13 or 17 have 20925 LBs with 1000 hrs and
RD93 have 20925 LBs with 2200 hours

I will go with RD93 b/c it don't have much difference and life is more then twice so saving more bucks.
WS-13's 1000hrs is initial TBO not its entire life and current RD93 have TBO of 700 hrs and total life of 4000hrs normally and 2200hrs with increased thrust.
RD93 have 18,260lbf thrust and RD93MK(RD33MK) have 20,000lbf thrust in contrast WS-13 have 19,420lbf and WS-13A have 22,450lbf thrust. Both engines (i.e RD33MK and WS13A) have FADEC and equivalent service life.
WS-13A or WS-13B(supposedly next improved version) will likely be going to enter service with PAF if ever it happen. In addition to that WS-13 will be used on J-31 so it may have some stealthiness inherited in it.
So all in all if WS-13 will be used on JF-17 it will be improvement in Performance, Reduction in unit price, Increase in service life, increase in payload, smoke less engine and support to better EW. Base WS13 is almost copy of RD93 with some improvements in some areas so it inherits the maturity of RD93.

engine ensures aircraft remains in the air. You don't take a risk there.

All smoke and mirrors. I don't know who PDS seniors are, and what kind of technical analysis they are capable of, but people who work on military engines would disagree.

Oscar worked on AL Khalid MBT Communication systems. Then participated in the initial design of of datalinking Western and Non-western assets of PAF. So A person who is here for more than 5 years says something, then you come along and start making wild wild west claims and ashamed of displaying Pakistani flags even (dont know if you are one). Hence the reluctance of people for taking you serious

P.S. If you really in the loop. Do you know what is Care ?

I have a question.

The Air Commodore is saying that the Block II may carry additional hard points for inter alia, a targeting pod. Does this mean that the existing Block I is not capable of carrying the WMD 7? Because as far as I remember the existing Thunders are compatible with this pod. So is the Commodore Mahmood is the additional hard point for the targeting pod merely needed to accommodate more equipment or is the original block unable to carry the targeting pod at all?

I know about CASE and CARE. You can dismiss my claims as you like. I am well aware of all MBT projects, SCR upgrade, and BMS. Data linking non western and western assets? Thats interesting. Bravo Zulu to Oscar. I am sure his Mike Charlie is bigger than mine.

Anything beyond the light blue and Blue shade, or administration is generally "seniority" based on how much they talk.

Nothing personal brother. This is an opinion forum.

Nope. Creating a translator so Swedish Unicorn and Chinese Dragon can talk to each other directly.

And opinions are based on personal experience. That being said, I have no idea whether that datalink came to its successful conclusion because I left in the middle of the project, I am hoping that it did considering the mad rush on expediting it that existing some 4 years ago for it.. last I heard, it was pretty much on the way.. but then last I heard was a while ago.. and I have much better things to do; greener grounds out there than the wasteful and useless world of Pakistani R&D.

This we can agree on.
