Pak Parliament Decides Today! Troops Or No Troops For SA

.
Dear torrent members One thing which I have got is that Iranian friends are hostile towards other Muslim sects, mean while Sunni Muslims advising for reconciliation not a single Irani member called for harmony in Muslim world,
Iran has no border with Yemen then why they interfere there now if they have done it then Pakistan should take two steps on one hand should send troops to help KSA but on other hand also open it's doors for Iran and KSA for reconciliation through Pak. We should not be sorry to help KSA if Iran do not feel sorry while shedding blood of Muslims. What is happening in Syria, Iraq, Kashmir and Palestine and has happened in Lebanon was totally due to sectarian hatred between Shia and Sunni sects, we should stop blaming USA if we can't become one Ummah our selves. My good wishes to Islamic Republic of Iran or Shia Republic of Iran ( what is opinion of members I don't know).
There are people in Sunnis who consider Shias as Muslim brother but sorry to say found no single Shia or Irani brother considering Yemeni conflict impartially. Prove me wrong if I am wrong by facts pls.

Prime Minister was absent from this important session as he was busy Sri Lankan premier visit of Pakistan.
What a waste of day like as usual in Pakistan Parliament House.
He was present when i saw the session. Of course he cant be there whole day long.

We should demand something like 20 Billion Dollars in return for sending of Troops.
$20 billion would barely cover the cost of the war. If Pakistan is to join, it needs economic guarantees, as well as military.

Pakistan is definitely walking on the thin tight rope.
Most likely there will be ground troops in KSA but no combat role in Yemen.
If Zardari joins Nawaz, and it looks like he will, than there may be a combat role.

PM joined later as he has to deal with foreign visitor and there is nothing wrong.

If troops already in SA to just guarding or protecting holy cites I'm ok with that, hope they will not sent to Yemen face to face fight.

I highly doubt that we will send troops to Yemen....I am glad that an APC is being held so that all the civilian leaderships can be on one page or at least be informed about majority decision.

I believe this isn't our fight. Our focus should be on Zarb e Azb and other operations in FATA region (and elsewhere)

. . .

Yes it is true.

But the irony is not this truth. It is the pittance for which they offer their "services". If they charge hundreds of billions of dollars which the other side can easily afford, then at least we can say, Pakistan is playing its own imperial game and feeding its own military service-industrial complex. But no. Not at all. They offer themselves for emotional reasons. Taking in huge losses.

Joint session of Parliament on Yemen crisis adjourned till tomorrow - The Express Tribune
As much of today time get waste on debate of PTI MNAs resignation months ago as they come today to join a very serious issue, to take this stand MQM MNAs walk out.

What a waste of day like as usual in Pakistan Parliament House.
Bound to happen, a lot of things have come up, so it's no surprise that today was a mess. Tomorrow should, hopefully, be a lot smoother.

In todays "law of jungle" world, no country can survive on its own especially a country like Pakistan whose economy sucks, is heavily indebted and is already on a hit list of many military powers. The only way to survive in such an environment is to form very strong alliance with countries with similar values and interests. KSA is not only a natural ally of Pakistan, it is one of the most reliable friend of Pakistan and it has proven that time and time again by financially helping us in difficult times, supporting our views in all international forums and using it's influence whenever and wherever necessary.

All these toilet seat politicians on this forum who are fouling the air with their ignorant brain farts are totally clueless, and biased by their religious beliefs.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always been, are and will always be strong friends and allies. Pakistan must support and help them in their time of need without any hesitation or greed.

If we turn our back on our friends in their difficult times, then there would be no one to stand beside us in our difficult times.

i get your point. Pakistan must support Saudi arabia. But Yemen is also a country we are not at war with.

Saudi Arabia and all countries in this coalition did not utter a word when Israel was bombing Gaza. Not a single statement. Arabs themselves are consumed by divisions like Muslim Brotherhood or anti-MB, shia and sunni.

You are a great diplomat and dont do any brain farts, tell me why should Pakistan send troops when an action such as this will give an impression we have ganged up against Yemen?

With the govt we have (under questionable circumstances, that is) that is personally indebted to Saudis, how do we the brain farters accept their action without asking what personal favors they are getting in exchange to pushing the country into a war?

Yemen did not attack Saudis, Saudis did.

never seen before, people asking for rights with heavy weapons

Yes, you may not have but Yemen is a tribal society much like Afghanistan.

My question to you is -

Isnt Yemen a Muslim country?

Did Yemen attack Saudi Arabia?

We shouldn't join the fight because:

  1. Zar-e-azb and the amount of resources allocated in that operation.
  2. Khyber I & II.
  3. Constant need to keep an eye on our friends on the eastern border.
  4. Saudi Arabia started this mess because their homeboy was ousted by the people of Yemen.
  5. Sunni/ Shia mess is the last thing we should be involved in given we have a considerable Shia population of our own.
  6. We share a border with Iran. SA doesn't.
  7. SA is more than capable of handling this themselves, militarily and economically.
The above being said, I have full confidence that the orangutans sitting in parliament will vote in favor of joining. This is Pakistan after all.
