Your wrong a train link from china to arabian sea gives them a free by pass of malaca straits(highly supervised by Indian Navy) and direct access to their energy shipments.In strategic terms its a soft power multiplier and in hard power terms a lifeline.The link is more favorable to China than to Pakistan(which will earn fees through transit).But either way it has its limits as shipments still will have to pass through Indian Ocean.Any ways congrats tothe project if it indeed materializes.....

Well India is concerned regarding this development coz it has some military/defense implications for India. So If pakistan goes ahead with a project that makes India uncomfortable then India can play one of the most vital cards we have - UR WATER RESOURCES. Build a dam in Kashmir and make Pakistan uncomfortable

Also china should not forget that we still have Tibet's largest population in India which can easily start a freedom movement with India's backing
