Shouldnt stopping terrorists entering Pakistan be Pakistan's responsibility ?

.
Too bad we can't coordinate and crush them between us.

Pakistan Army does not have enough power to destroy North Waziristan, don't enough resources, helicopters, and more overstretched.

Bad choice. After N.Waziristan, US attack Pakistan in matter of times.

Terrific initiative by the Pakistani Army if this true. They should go all out, hit them strong, hit them hard, with the full might of the force they have got. The road ahead is difficult and the path rocky, but God is with PA. Even Baradar and his cohorts in days to come might rebel against this initiative, but PA should leave its duplicitous nature and target the Haqqanis, Mullah Nazir's group, Hekmatyar's group, even Baradar's group if they come in the way of achieving complete sovereignty and writ of the Pakistani state. Godspeed !!!

Actually, the US won't attack Pakistan. I think that's been made very clear. Nor does Pakistan is trying to get into a confrontation with the US. Both the countries have been allies since the inception of Pakistan so there is a very complex relationship that exists.

PA does need more gunships. I agree. May be time to test the new UCAV's along with upgraded Cobras and JFT's SAR sensors. This will actually help Pakistan as this is the path used to smuggle weapons into Baluchistan so glad they are doing it. A terrorist is a terrorist, doesn't matter where he's sitting at. These bas-turds have killed many, many civilians and PA's soldiers!! Time to clean up

I remember how extremists were rising in Maan city in southern Jordan, and how they were undermining peaceful civilian life in the city, after months of provocations toward people and the government, JAF blockaded the city and beat the hell out of them, it took only one month, 14 were killed and others were detained. This was in 2002, aftermath, normal life returned as it used to be, after 2004 I spent 4 years of my university studying there. It takes courage to do that, Pakistani army should make a tough action against those extremists who hijacked Islam and justify killing innocents and even soldiers in it's name, it's time to rip off this malignant plant from it's very roots. Enough is enough, those have distorted our beautiful Islam image more than ever before.

There is a crude street saying in Urdu 'Urtaa hua teer lena', which literally means 'Taking a flying arrow up one's ***'.......why would the Talibaan provoke the military into action in North Waziristan when they cold regroup in their safe havens there?

IMO the goal should be to just push. Push all the groups into Afghanistan and leave it up to the Americans to handle them.

This will be the mindset from the beginning IMO.

Because as members have said, difficult terrain, overstretched resources, the job is difficult to kill them all.

So just get them into A-Stan, and then get some more forces on the border.

BTW, I hope the US shuts up now.

.
I wish the very best to PA. Also you need take care of the internal situation in your country. Make sure the terrorists dont take over more of your prisions and government buildings as hostages.
