ISLAMABAD: The Indian Deputy High Commissioner was summoned to the Foreign Office on Wednesday to lodge a protest over Indian firing at the Line of Control (LoC).

A captain of the Pakistan Army was martyred and a soldier wounded in the latest incident of Indian forces opening unprovoked firing at the LoC.

Indian forces opened unprovoked fire at Shakma sector near Skardu on Tuesday night at 11:15 PM. Pakistani forces responded to the firing and the exchange of fire continued for several hours.

Following Indian allegations of the Pakistan Army killing five Indian soldiers at the LoC, relations between the South Asian neighbours have deteriorated. India has repeatedly violated the LoC ceasefire agreement between the countries

I'm glad this happened. Now Pakistan will probably take the Indian whining at border seriously.

During the January ceasefire violation by India where two Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom, a officer made these remarks, that we should be thankful to India for showing they are our enemy and we should concentrate on them. (Weeks before the doctrine was changed moving focus of main enemy from India to TTP).
