PAF & Rafale Story Will Not Go Away !

That they would have done anyway once we bring them down with better Chinese tech, superior Pakistani pilots and help of ALLAH.
So reassuring that you feel this way about Chinese tech. Now if only they felt the same and stopped buying planes and missiles from Russia , one could indeed have faith in your logic.

Is that more reassuring than what IAF believed before pulling the 2/26 fiasco or what it learned after the 2/27 spanking? Why did Mirages pilots run away from the active battle station? did they claim their Radars stopped working mysteriously or they had to go take a pee?

Sure Sure, the IAF was just in awe of the mighty PAF , hence after doping the bombs they decided not to wait around for PAF fighters.

Well IAF planes falling out of the sky in awe of PAF is nothing new, we have seen that happen multiple times in the past and GOD willing will continue to see in the future too, but we need your help too, keep propping up IAF like you always do and keep giving medals to Nonedones

Interesting, he says Pl-15 on JF blk 3 willl have a range of 300 km. Why do i find that hard to believe.

He also puts the range of Meteor first at 150NM (inline with its marketing) but later in the talk says 150km when describing "double" the range of Pl-15. Something seems fishy, at the end of the day the physics are obvious, Pl-15 is a dual-pulse motor with comaprable dimensions. @airomerix

I was just about to post the same. The claims seem difficult to believe, PL-15 at 300km and double that of Meteor's 150km (I think he meant to say km not NM). @Bilal Khan (Quwa) @Deino Your thoughts?

IMO the range of 300km seems vastly overrated and I have the feeling most of these claims are based on a mix of the PL-15 - which is most often claimed for up to 200km . with the PL-XX ULRAAM (seen on a J-16 and JH-7A) - which is claimed for a range >300km.

Folks don't realize, but insinuations of this nature can be damaging for ex-PAF/PN consultants working for the Qatari MoD. Our retired servicemen there are bound by strict NDAs. And these foolish self-reassurances also undermine the actual good our consultants do in building goodwill.

IMHO...the empty self-assurances (e.g., "PAF knows more about Rafale than IAF" or "Rafale is not a game changer in South Asia" or "JF-17 with PL-15 pours cold water on Rafale") must stop. It's downright embarrassing at this point.
Not only that, but we should remain humble. Rather then foolish boosting. It is one very important factor that we dont care and believe in.

Sir @Vergennes Can you shed some light on this topic?

There used to be another french professional, ex-Army I think Taygibay, or something like that, anyone remember him? He made some comments about Qatari pilots being trained in France.

One of the good gentlemen having a good sense of posting and knowledge. I remember him back then when we were about to interview and I had to take some leaves given my own reasons. He has been inactive since, 2018 and I really hope that he can make an appearance anytime soon. His observations and analysis will be really interesting given the circumstances & situation in current times.

I haven't found any official figures.
The 150km-200km range is based on the USAF's news.
The PL15's design goals are based on an exaggeration of AIM120d performance.

Interestingly, the USAF has not considered using the Meteor missile.I checked the explanation that the maximum range of the Meteor missile is for large, slow targets like the transport. The maximum range of the PL15 is for fighters. Therefore, a range of 300KM or even 400KM is a theoretical high-altitude ballistic mode that can only hit the transport aircraft.

None of this has been officially confirmed.

I think the PL-15 will have an increased NEZ and possibly 100-150km maxR.

Didn’t bother seeing the video but this is far fetched and I don’t feel there is any ground to it.

Qatari Rafales are well distanced from Pakistanis as per policy.

Although the presence of Pakistanis in Qatari Air Force is a different topic altogether...

The Pakistani Trainers which includes an active duty Squadron Leader IP deputed to QEAF and retired engineers and Some of the Pakistanis are Air defense controller, all are situated at Doha Airbase where Mirage-2000 are situated along with Qatar airforce Mushaks and Some C-17 Transporters as well. This is where CCS JF-17 landed last year and had an exercise with Qatar Mirages. Doha Old airport and airbase are adjacent to each other just like how Peshawar airbase and International airport are adjacent to each other

Rafael are situated in Dukhan airbase which is 85-90 KM away from Doha and airbase is strictly populated by Qataris with french consultants on call to provide support for QEAF. Even the Engineers are Qataris there. Rafaels are off-limit to Pakistani retired engineers working in Qatar Armed forces.

The contingent of pilots and engineers that was sent to France were composed of Qataris only. Not a single Pakistan retired engineer in it.

So the notion that Pakistanis are getting trained or maintaining something that they have no know how is borderline conspiracy theory at best

M2K's have been flying out of Tamim, for quiet some time now. Doha is rotary only. Pls check with Pakistanis on the ground.

The training sorties and landings are at doha airbase on regular basis. Morning and Afternoon time, as I pass by Old Airport on way to work and back home i've seen them landing their regularly. Plus the sight of 2 or 4 m2k flying in formation above doha every once in a while early morning.

Udeid is USAF Base.

I used to operate flights from there over a decade back.

Doha: Qatar will establish a new airbase called “Tamim Airbase”, a senior Qatari Amiri Air Force official revealed.

Al Udeid Air Base will be expanded and the Doha Air Base will be developed to welcome new aircraft and systems that have been introduced to the air force service. This includes the French Rafale fighters, American F-15 fighters, Eurofighter Typhoon and other advanced aircraft.

This was disclosed by Maj Gen Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Malki, Deputy Commander of the Qatari Amiri Air Force, during an interview with “Al Talai" magazine published on Sunday by the Directorate of Moral Guidance in the Ministry of Defense.
