.
Its way older than 8 yrs. I saw a skyline gtr yrs back in dubai.
But its still a good news for India.
Where do you drive em in india? I saw a photo of veyron stuck on speed breaker in india.

Look at the size of the rotors. Needs that stopping power. Like a lot of the new high performance cars out there it also has dual clutch transmissison for lightning fast shifts.

There are a good number of GTR owners in Pakistan. Things a beast.

I am talking about those rich kids flaunting these cars bought through black money. How would they be able to purchase now? And people with white money are hardly rich enough to afford these cars.

The general trend of buying ultra-fancy sports cars never really caught on in India. Indians (especially those above a certain income group) tend to buy cars well below their purchasing power. Even in places like Delhi, the Mecca of conspicuous consumption, one sees too few of these compared to the actual number of people who can afford them.

At 2500 rs withdrawal rate per day a person would have to wait for 8000 days at least.. Better you leave for ATM
Internet banking, mobile banking, cheque are the ways used to transfer big values..hope u missed this point.. :p

Yes. Sometimes being further away gives you better idea of lay of the land
You're not just far away from your motherland but also its realities. I know that would hurt.

far away from your motherland
True

but also its realities.
You don't have to 'live' something to know the reality. Otherwise the only people qualified would be the people living the 'reality'. You and me both are not really 'living the reality'. Only the poor Pakistani villager or the poor Indian pulling his rickshaw know the real 'reality'. According to your funny logic they are best qualified to comment as they know bitter reality unlike rest of us - me in mu heated office and you in your air conditioned office in UAE.

I know that would hurt.
Why would this hurt. Real life can hurt. Sometimes.

Theres a difference between me and you. I was born and brought up in India. So its easy for me to stay updated on various issues through my friends in India. I do NOT just depend on what the media feeds me.

nly the poor Pakistani villager or the poor Indian pulling his rickshaw know the real 'reality'
Poor Indian and poor Pakistani?
Are you mocking the poor?

Real life hurts. Sometimes.

You do know I do visit Pakistan sometimes. You do know that I have relatives - many in the lucrative places in government. Police, Army, Customs, PWD to name a few. You do know they come regulary to UK. All the younger generation have done their higher studies in UK. One is still here as student.

So I can't claim to be 'real dhesi' but I know what goes on.

Poor Indian and poor Pakistani?

You know my family - including extended in Pakistan have done well - rather prosperous but just two generations back we were dirt poor. My dad still relates stories of waiting for his brother to come back from srrvice in WW2 and using old tyres to make sandals or army left overs as clothes or studying using oil lamp.

So, no actually at heart I am a socialist. If you look at other threads you will see I want Pak to reduce conventional forces and spend that money on the poor. I hate KSA/GCC because it could easily give more jobs to the poor in Pak rather than exporting salafism and life of hereafter. I don't like religion because I see it as tool to brainwash the poor.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you know me !

And just to clarify all my relatives in Pak display what is so wrong with Pakistan. Corrupt, contempt for the poor, fake pseudo Islam etc.

See!
This is what i was pointing at.
When you are not one of them, then how can you claim to know them?

You know my family - including extended in Pakistan have done well - rather prosperous but just two generations back we were dirt poor.
That happened 2 generations back. In short you have no idea about the life of an ordinary Pakistani.

I don't like religion because I see it as tool to brainwash the poor.
We can discuss religion elsewhere.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you know me !
I dont know you. Lol

Even if bhartis purchase them, there's no way in hell they know how to drive them. There's plenty of Pakistanis with GTR's and god damn do those boys whip that beast.

Dear Burhan,

Whatever rocks your boat. Last I knew, the following Indians had achieved substantial success in international motorsport:

- Narain Karthikeyan (F1)
- Armaan Ebrahim (Formula BMW, IndyCar, F2, GP2)
- Karun Chandok (F1, GP2, Le Mans Series)
- Parthiva Sureshwaran (F2, Formula V6)
- Karamjit Singh (Asia-Pacific Rally)
- (Gaurav Gill (Asia-Pacific Rally)

This is apart from having extensive presence in motorsport such as:

- Force India (F1)
- Team MRF (Rallying)
- Mahi Racing Team India (Supersport World Championship)

Apart from extensive racing and motorsport training infrastructure, including F1-level circuit, and quite decent F3-level circuits in Sriperumbudur and Coimbatore.

AFAIK, the only objective yardsticks, as opposed to your certifying the street creds of Lahori Daredevils.

Can you enlighten us about Pakistan's motorsports credentials?
