Now US AESA radar is being offered as per news reports so more prone to sanctions any time in future. India and US have nothing in common in world affairs except convergance of china issue and till how long this will continue ? Once border dispute issue resolvation in sight the US n India might find each other at oppsing hands

Russian needs to be more pro active in countering this PR exercise by there adversary. Israel is far better to align with then US for the critical high tech needs

I would say ,Russia is also not a saint in here .
After our independence we bought arms and weapons of around 50 billion$ from USSR/Russia .So far they didnt help us creating our own MIC in here .Whatever it is Nehru and VP Krishnamenon tried for that and we have had HF Marut as our own fighter HAL .Thanks to USSR and their bribing our own officials and politicians killed the successor of that program by rejecting Raj Mahindra ,an aeronautical engineer during 1985 .Since then we are trying for LCA .


Except our own effort,HR,and resources we cant depend foreigners be it Russia or US .They are all just businessmen .

First one they leased to us was a charlie class during 1990s ,then USSR .In that sub IN have a no go zone ,its nuke propulsion area .Only Soviets were allowed there.
Now Russia dont have any choice that is why they gave us all these weapons.

Still they gave us,the sole country to do so far for us. Also they never did same thing for other countries, I strongly believes there are hell lot of super rich countries are out there seeking such sensitive technology.
